NBA 14/15 Season

I don't really know much about basketball, used to like it as a kid

I'm in New York this weekend though so go myself tickets to see Nets vs Bulls on Monday night, really looking forward to it!

Nice, the Nets are fighting for a playoff spot and the Bulls are back up to a full roster and looking to hit a little form ready for the the 1st round so should be a good game for the penultimate game of the regular season.

Work then straight home - I've lived here long enough to know to avoid the beach when it's sunny :p

Ahh fair enough. I was keeping an eye on the score between us and the Rockets when I was there on Sunday night. Someone heard me saying some 'unpleasantries' towards Harden and proceed to give me abuse. :D

You can RKO me all you want but I'll still stand by it. James Harden is overrated!

lol... your crazy and please tell me you are joking.

Harden is the most productive offensive guy in the league this season. Number 1 in points, top 10 in assists, top 5 in steals, top 10 in FGM, top 5 in in 3PTM and is number 1 in free throws (for any player who has taken more than 400 this season) with 680 made. I dont think anyone has made it to the line as much as him. Plus his 2 career bests in Points and Assists this season.

The rockets dont really have a 2nd superstar and they are still able to be number 2 seed for the playoffs... Im not even sure they would have made the playoffs if Harden wasnt there.

Don't think I've seen a more ball-greedy player in the league and I've been watching basketball since I was about 6 (so about 16 years). A lot of his steals coming from charging through an opponent which should be a foul. He's not even in the top 40 players for FG%, 17th for FT%, and 40th for 3PFG%. He gets absolutely everything which is why he's ranked 1st for FTM when majority of the calls are wrong.

The Rockets don't have a second superstar because no one else gets the opportunity to do anything because it's all him. I very much reckon that they would make the playoffs because more players would be involved a lot more.

Heat struggling now, this is more nerve wracking than the championship runs :p

Really looking forward to the playoff this year, so many possibilities :D

Re Harden, before this season I didn't really rate him, I thought he was a 1 trick pony, he has massively improved this year. He's the real deal.

Fear the beard ;)

He really has progressed over the past 2 seasons, when at OKC he kind of lived in Westbrooks shadow but popped out now and again and performed brilliantly.

I think he's really thriving at Houston, plus he has Dwight to pick up his scraps :)

Surely someone that doesn't play defence AT ALL can't win MVP?

Westbrook is about on par with Harden in my opinion but has seen more success at the detriment of his own team.

Curry should be MVP

Big Baby for MVP. ;)

I have to agree Curry and Thompson have been a killer duo and a pleasure to watch. Shame they can't split it, but over all I would say Curry as an individual tops it.

I can see Curry winning this year, it's strange that Bron is playing great but is considered not to be having an MVP year as he isn't doing everything himself :p

The West playoffs will be fascinating stuff.
