NEARLY 2 YEARS WAITING: New Mustang GT PP is finally mine!

Have you never been in a car with Gibbo? :p

Clearly he has not! :D

I live life 1/4 mile at a time just on continuous loop! :D

I asked if anyone got my car on video at weekend from the huge Mustang meet (85 Mustangs), the response was no because you went so bloody quick they had no time. :D

Yes, of course you will.

Your foot isn't planted into the loud pedal all the time is it... :p

your foot doesn't have to be planted to hear a Yank V8, many of them are noisy even at tick over; especially with a lumpy cam ;)

Well Gibbo, seems to me that Mustangs and oil coolers really aren't happy bedfellows in this generation...

Is all fixed for now.

They did the new gasket and i suggested this time they coat new gasket in Vaseline or something similar. They said as its warranty work it has to be done per warranty guidelines. I said you did that last time and its leaking so either done wrong, not enough care taken or a faulty gasket. I just said if it was your own car, your a mechanic what would you do?

Job is done, they also used sealant as well and gave the car a thorough cleaning underneath, so far still dry and at least this time turned around quickly, thank god that spare gasket was put aside for me. :)

Hi Gibbooohh. Bye Gib...nope he's gone again?

I must be getting old. There is a kid who likes to drive his 'big bore raspy exhaust' shed up our road early in the morning and late at night. Highly annoying!

Thought so, hardly seems worth buying one for that :p

Mustangs have being turbo's from factory before so it is nothing new. But for me a Muscle car is all about being a V8, that is the whole principle and I purchased the car for its engine and heritage, not because its a sports car. If I wanted the best handling car in the world I'd have got a 981 Cayman or a 997.2/991 911, some might disagree about them being best handling but in my book for less than 100k your hard pushed to find a more focused drivers car with better feedback than a Porsche.

Now back to the whole Ecoboost, I have said it before, the Mustang gets a lot of attention, only at the weekend I got some attention which was pretty annoying at first, but was funny when I realised. I had a van following me, flashing his lights, so I pull over, he passes, he then pulls in front of me and slowly de-accelerates and I am thinking jesus what is this guys problem. So I pull out to overtake, whilst looking into his cabin and to see him gesturing give it some, he just went about it in a way that would suggest he had a problem with me or my car was about to explode and he was trying to warn me. When all he wanted was for me to give it some, I of course obliged. :)

But yes the amount of other road users who want you to give it some, you see windows coming down as your passing, pedestrians whipping out phones to take photos and lots of people will approach asking about the car and of course they all want to hear it start up and be revved. Now having a V8 doing this always generates smiles and giggling, people love it. But what must people think when they ask an Ecoboost to be revved expecting that V8 rumble and all they get is woosh wossh psssst? :D

Exactly. It would be an alright noise coming from my Fez, but from a Mustang its wrong. When you hear all the rest in that vid the Ecoboost noise is almost embarrassing in comparison :p

A little cruise video:

A GT 350 at last weekends meet, demonstrating the valves open and closed:

Here is how mine sounds in comparison, deeper for sure:

His red tail lights look so much better in contrast to the grey paint.

His black wheels however, suck compared to your re-painted set.
