NEARLY 2 YEARS WAITING: New Mustang GT PP is finally mine!

His red tail lights look so much better in contrast to the grey paint.

His black wheels however, suck compared to your re-painted set.

Good seeing you today, cannot believe you live one minute up the road and your indicators really upset me haha. I think that guy in the Focus ST on the way home did not know where a wild Mustang had appeared from. :D

Man that was a funny drive home, seeing people turn their heads following you, then I'd give it a blip and they'd turn around again!

It gets a lot of attention, all positive as well, now you can only imagine the attention the yellow one gets as there is nothing subtle about his at all. :D

Must say Gibbo your car is very nice in the flesh, in-fact both are but the Mustang is a great looking motor up close. Impressed :)

Cheers, people tend to be shocked when they see them in the flesh as to how good and great value for money they are. Also to most people see mine as being factory car, the modifications are so subtle they just go wow what a nice car and assume that is how it was delivered, it is only when it is parked up next to a stock version do those subtle yet big changes stand out. That was my plan, increase the aggression factory whilst remaining subtle and like a car that rolled out the showroom. :)

Though saying that some of the factory spin offs Ford USA do can be quite in your face styling wise, it is afterall a Mustang and is probably the worlds most popular car for aftermarket. Even at the huge meet a couple of weekends ago that had nearly 100 Mustangs, not one car was identical, they were all style / modified differently making them rather unique. :)

Hi there

Do not think I posted this video someone did on M6G up here, but it shows some of the truly amazing views from NC500. :)

Absolutely incredible isn't it Gibbo. Went up myself last month and was staggered at how good it was.

Beautiful place!

M6G are doing similar next year, but of England, myself and few other guys response was, WTF, LOL!

OK we will do our own thing, so we are planning NC500 in reverse and including the old military road as well and I am sure if anyone from here wishes to join be welcome, though we try to keep to groups of 5-6 cars at a time, as when we did it earlier this year there was 13-15 of us so we split into three groups and would meet up at points of interest. :)

Hi there

Car had its winter protection done today by Autobrite, so full wash and prep, very minor paint correction and two coats of abyss on bodywork and wheels. Absolute mirror finish in the flesh. :)

That will do for winter, it can go back mid spring for a full correction and some uber shiny wax. :D

How are their pricings? I am looking to get my paintwork all touched up (corrected) but finding someone local who id trust with the GTR is very difficult.

If you don't mind Gibbo, how much was the winter prep?

Tempted to get mine done.

You need to ask them buddy, best to message on facebook, the owner is a mate so I get mates rates, but I think the regular price is around £100ish so its not that much. :)

Hi there

New Camaro ZL1 laps the ring in under 7:30 putting it in super car territory:

DETROIT — Chevrolet today unleashed a time-attack video of the 2017 Camaro ZL1 lapping the Nürburgring Nordschleife in a blistering 7:29.60. The new ZL1’s lap time is 11.67 seconds quicker than the previous ZL1’s fast lap.

“To be almost 12 seconds quicker than the 5th-Generation ZL1 is a testament to the advanced design and technology of the new ZL1,” said Al Oppenheiser, Camaro chief engineer. “From the improved aerodynamics, mass reduction and 650-horsepower LT4 to the Magnetic Ride Control, electronic limited-slip differential and Custom Launch Control, the ZL1 was designed to take on the world’s most challenging track, making it right at home on any track, road or drag strip anywhere.”

The only changes made to the ZL1 were the installation of data acquisition equipment, a roll hoop and Sparco racing seats with six-point harnesses. Otherwise, the car was production stock and included the following:

6.2-liter supercharged LT4 V-8 making 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque

All-new 10R90 10-speed automatic transmission (set to Track mode to enable Performance Algorithm Shift calibration, providing optimal gear selection without the need to manually select gears)

FE4 Suspension with Magnetic Ride Control

Performance Traction Management

Forged 20-inch wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires

Brembo brakes with front 15.4-inch rotors and six-piston calipers and rear 14.4-inch rotors and four-piston calipers

Lift-reducing front fascia elements with cooling ducts and Chevrolet “flowtie”

Full underbody shielding

ZL1-specific rear spoiler and diffuser

11 heat exchangers

“Many fast laps around the Nordschleife are dramatic, with lots of oversteer and steering input,” said Drew Cattell, Camaro ride and handling engineer and driver of the hot lap. “Not so with the ZL1, which is extremely planted and stable, almost calm. With Magnetic Ride and great overall chassis balance, the ZL1 is all about being inch perfect at every turn and carrying a lot of speed.”

That is hugely impressive, the car looks so planted and that 10-speed is so damn quick and even in full auto mode seem to work great.

For me the only downside is I think for a V8 it sounds well pretty rubbish, just sounds like its sucking air, bit like a turbocharge, yet its supercharged. But that aside WOW what a car, especially when you consider it cost around 60k, there is like nothing that can rival it performance wise for probably less than 100k.

Really hope GM decide to go global like Ford have done, would be epic having the other great player selling RHD cars too because Ford have proven the demand in RHD is huge, OK the Mustang is a much bigger icon than the Camaro or Corvette and more affordable, but still if I could get a RHD Corvette I'd buy one tomorrow, the Camaro I'd need some convincing but judging by the video it looks an awesome driving kit, though the noise and interior looks rather underwhelming.
