NEARLY 2 YEARS WAITING: New Mustang GT PP is finally mine!

It really doesnt, it gives that impression when you first get in because its low and has high side lines, but on the road you need good lateral sight so the lack of vertical doesnt really affect it

In fact it has better sight lines than my old RX7 due to the quarter windows and no door pillars

I havent had a situation yet where left hand drive has impeded my progress, you just have to adapt to it, in he same way that you have to adapt to any change in vehicle

the one i love is the Camaro 50th Anniversary, it's close to my fav car, the Camaro handles really well and it looks so damned cool

he can get me that, i'm just too scared to buy it............. because a Type R or a WRX STI is a full 20k cheaper, i think he wanted something like 46k for the Camaro.

Just 1000+ horses between the pair and the BMW makes the Mustang look small, though the M5 is a nice car, my god does the Mustang show it up in the looks department, maybe I am bias but these Mustangs are so damn good looking.

Excuse the quality, taken in a rush and both cars were filthy, not washed mine in over two weeks, just being driving it and the keen eyed will notice the stock wheels with no spacers, hence they look a little lost. But sold my bling wheels as fancy a change, though still not made a purchase yet. But either going for same wheel again in 19" but polished or the new M600 (Ford GT) wheel in polished or silver. I simply find on 19" the cars handling is more predictable and fun, the extra tyre wall really improves handling, just like it did on M3, should have known better, so new wheels will be 19" and same/similar tyre size to now.

Also front calipers are in for painting, going Porsche acid green and I've got two-piece lightweight j-hook disc incoming all round.

Is that Neil Spicer of AMD fame? Top bloke if it is, popped down to my school to donate an AMD gaming PC :D

the 50th is just paint and wheels, no different to the 2SS (or what they just call the V8 over here), you can knock nearly 10k off that price by just getting the V8 without the overly expensive graphics and wheels that you can get elsewhere cheaper

a new Type R is £32k though, so its only about £5-6k more for the Camaro, which is well worth it imo, 320bhp vs 455bhp V8, unless you are comparing to 2nd hand in which case year a 2nd hand car is always going to be cheaper than new

There is no comparison, sorry I don't care how fast the new Type R can do the ring its just a total piece of junk, looks like it crashed into Halfords Ripspeed department, FWD, 2.0 4cyl twist and **** engine, not even VTEC any more and apart from the seats a junk interior with very little in the way of toys. The Camaro is worth 20k more, the fact they are actually only 5-6k more makes them an epic bargain in comparison for how much metal, engine, toys you get for your money.

Plus the Type R would not see which direction the Camaro had gone in. :D

Nice to see he upgraded - turned up in an Q7 when he came here a few years back, kids were loving his plate :D

Yeah he has had a few Audi's he might still have the Q7 as well, but can't remember. I am just glad he got the M5, finally twisted his arm to get a proper fast car, even better he has the Michelins on it, so it can more or less put its 560 horses down. :)

the 2016 Type R is small and nippy, but looks like a toy............. the Camaro uuuummm :confused:

the Camaro sounds and looks BRILLIANT and looks great with those black wheels

Just below 41k with the performance exhaust..........carbon stripe, black wheels.............that car looks totally awesome, i cant think of a car that competes with this, maybe only the WRX STI..............but definitely not the RS or the Type R.
the WRX STI is closest to the EVO and it has that rumble that i love, it's within my budget too........... but i do have to say this Camaro really is brilliant.

that Mustang is damn nice too, but that doesn't look like yours; unless it's next years.............what price is this ????

A subaru is not a muscle car and again the Camaro would leave it standing and out handle it. Then interior quality, toys, V8, magnetic ride, automatic am sorry but your comparing cars that are nothing alike, the Camaro is a vastly superior car at absolutely everything. Its weakness is LHD, size and for some ease of driving, AWD is vastly easier to pedal than big power RWD. Of course if your priority is attacking B roads and pushing 110% everywhere with a huge safety net then you should buy a Subaru or Type R, as FWD/AWD is a lot more forgiving and anyone can drive them fast. RWD takes a lot more respect and skill behind the wheel to pedal quick, but a good driver would be vastly quicker in the Camaro over a B road compared to a Subaru STI or Type R.

That is current Mustang, with a Roush front bumper. Roush do not sell cars in the UK yet, but they are selling all the parts to make your own Roush both styling, handling and power wise. :)

that's really nice, but the standard Mustang 2018 refresh is nice too.

unfortunately i dont think i should stretch my budget to 41k, because the Camaro is deffo the best, no arguement from me there/ or the Mustang.

what i love about these recent Yanks is they've improved the quality of build, better interiors and far better handling........... these make them a very good buy nowadays, because at the end of the day you can not beat the Yank V8 engine..........it sounds fantastic

Not official yet, also why I am holding back on MY18 in case GT500 is announce, even better it gets announced as a global car, if that happens as long as price remains under 80k I will most likely buy one. Rumour is it will be powered by the 5.2 V8 with a Whipple Stage 2 supercharger and be 750HP from the factory on unleaded fuel. :D

But it is all hearsay.

there's deffo a 2018 GT500 i've just seen pictures of it, unless that's something else under wraps, you cant tell with Ford

whatever the case, this is the new ``Muscle car wars``, like back in the 1960s...............it's almost identical.

No there is not, LOL, until Ford announce or say so then there is no such thing. Its no different now to how it is in every generation, this has being going on for years, not just 1960's and just recently but forever, it never stops.

it doesn't matter what's out next year does it, with regards to its name, because you're still going to buy it ;)................the thing is the Camaro will probably still be LHD only and according to Ian Allan, this is killing their sales.

why are Chevrolet and Dodge not interested in RHD !!!!!!!!!!!! no idea
