NEARLY 2 YEARS WAITING: New Mustang GT PP is finally mine!

I know I'm probably fanboying but it's crazy how Ford are just doing everything properly right now. With the new Mustang, Focus RS and current Fiesta ST they are pushing all the right buttons and your post is just further evidence of that :)

Well if they really wanted to perfect things then here is my wish:

Shelby GT350 in RHD
Shelby GT500 in RHD when its released
F150 Raptor in RHD silly idea but people like crazy trucks :D


Then for GM to go if Ford can succeed so can we and we get Corvettes and Camaro's though I feel GM's models though hugely capable would not be as popular as Mustang considering Mustang US sales are far far higher than Camaro and Challenger. Still to see RHD GM and Dodge stuff would be nice but unlikely though the new Camaro 2.0l turbo thats just being announced could be a hint GM is considering the move. One can hope as the Americans have some fantastic cars be nice if could get more of them here with steering wheel on correct side through dealerships.

I think you're right but for the wrong reasons. US sales of Camaro and Mustang are broadly similar over the last 10 years (with some years the Camaro beating the Mustang, and other years the opposite).

The reason it wouldn't sell so well over here (even ignoring the lack of Chevy dealers) is that it's not as well-known a name plate.

I know you're ever hopeful, but the chances of a RHD Camaro any time soon are slim to none. Even if the platform was available in RHD (which it isnt, so it would require the next-gen Camaro at best), I'm not sure the business case would stack up. :(

Feel your probably right, for RHD to be a success I reckon they need a minimum of 10,000 cars sold to make the R&D, new product line setup, global shipments worth it etc. to work on a large scale and as Ford found out it is not just as simple as moving the steering wheel as a car needs to meet a lot more rules and regulations to be EU compliant these days.
 
I went out for a ride in an SRT8 when I was last in Houston. It was the most underwhelming thing I have ever experienced.

Hey stop being a dream destroyer! :p

The Challenger is the last true muscle car, that means muscle car weight, muscle car boat like handling and bland nasty cheap interior. Its a dream or maybe a nightmare, but to many its a dream. :D

yea but it handles like a typical muscle car.......rubbish, plus it's too heavy for 480hp.............but it does look very good !!!

they should have reduced its size even more, because this Challenger is actually far smaller than the original, the original is flipping huge :D
