NEARLY 2 YEARS WAITING: New Mustang GT PP is finally mine!

Must say that does look very good with the spacers/lowering etc. Be interesting to see how bigger wheels look.

Looks quite tight getting out of the driveway, can't believe you're living in a Bungalow at your age though :P

Also I presume when you mean no reported issues with 5.0s you mean on the internet, considering how many are used in the states by just normal folk who don't post on the internet about them an all?

pretty useless really, because a copper will still get you via your rear number plate as you drive by..........and a laser camera van definitely will.

I'm pretty sure that isn't the point of it... Gibbo isn't James Bond, he's someone who thinks his car looks nicer with no front plate.

Gibbo - that is quite a looker. De-chrome it + Black wheels = Hnnnnnng

Yes they do look good with black wheels but am not much for black wheels, so think I will stick with silver but am considering getting rid of the chrome window surround. A few examples of how they look de-chromed with dark wheels.

In all fairness the Mustang is one of the most modified cars in the world due to how affordable they are and how large and again after market is affordable. On the US forums you have over 100,000 members and the majority are still V8 Coyote owners with no engine issues and only failures reported have being on big power turbo and supercharged cars also being revved very high with engines letting go at over 950-1000BHP and 8000rpm plus, so its quite a strong unit.

The 2.3l however is not fairing so well with reported failures now into double digits, some even at stock power.

If an engine has an issue or weakness it soon comes to light on the internet, as the 2.3l has done so which is bad considering its relatively young. The 5.0 Coyote has being around for years now and the basic recommendation is if your going big power and high rpm upgrade the oil pump and gears which is about $500 in parts and 4-6hr labour, then your good for around 8000rpm and 900BHP. I shall be aiming much lower though of around 700BHP and 7000rpm. The great news is if I did kill the engine well at $5000 they aint exactly expensive.

Can't believe the prices these things are going for on autotrader at the minute! Ten grand mark up on list easily.

A few pages back when I said a trader I bought my car from has one listed £2k above list. Someone here said why?

That seems cheap now !

There's a one 13 miles from me. 46k with 500 miles on it.

I think the one I saw was £39k with 1,000 miles on it. Fully loaded 5.0L V8 I recall.

MOT site says it is currently untaxed, the dealer might still have it, although it is not listed in Sytner Select Wakefield's site, could be moved or put on hold.

awesome mate
love the car! I havent read all the posts just a quick scan but looks like your deciding on wheels. Whatever you decide it must be black :D

Looks very menacing, I would think twice if you pulled along side the supra LOL

I think the chrome suits it tbh. Everyone removes all the chrome and makes everything black/Dark these days.....

yes i dont like the all dark look esp with the lowering springs, those photos above make the car look too heavy and too long............. it suits an Aston Martin but not the Mustang, it's a very personal thing though.

Seems sales are still going incredibly well for Ford in UK judging by the latest numbers:

More than 1,000 UK customers have now taken delivery of the new right-hand-drive Ford Mustang.

Total sales for the first production Mustang for the British market have now raced past the 3,500-mark.

So far, 80% of UK customers have opted for the fastback body style over the convertible and 68% have specified the 416PS 5.0-litre V8 engine.

The Mustang’s six-speed manual transmission is the slightly more popular choice (54%) than the six-speed automatic, which comes with sporty SelectShift paddle control.

Race Red is the most-popular exterior colour among UK buyers, specified on 20% of customers. Magnetic Silver is second with 17% and Shadow Black third (15%). Triple Yellow (9%) and Ruby Red (7%) complete the top five.

The right-hand drive Mustang is available to order in the UK from £30,995 (EcoBoost) and £34,995 (V8) and now features SYNC 3 8in colour touchscreen with nine-speaker DAB radio, USB & Bluetooth connectivity as standard.

Even though I own one I never expected them to sell like this and whenever cancelled orders come available they are normally snapped up in days, seems the car is very popular indeed. I am still yet to see one on the road except for my mates yellow one but over 1000 cars now delivered now. :)

Goes to show that even on our small island not only is the Mustang a big hit but V8 and manual are the most popular choices. :)
