NEARLY 2 YEARS WAITING: New Mustang GT PP is finally mine!

yea but it handles like a typical muscle car.......rubbish, plus it's too heavy for 480hp.............but it does look very good !!!

they should have reduced its size even more, because this Challenger is actually far smaller than the original, the original is flipping huge :D

480Bhp? pffft, there 707 horsepower end of discussion ;)

I drove one before buying the GT350, and I wasn't particularly impressed with it. Didn't feel all that fast given its power, and it's a real boat of a thing. Absolutely zero sense of occasion with it too.

It is why the Mustang GT owners in the US love making videos of their GT's beating Hellcats as its very easy to make a Mustang GT into a Hellcat straight line beater for not a lot of money. :)

Latest is a GT 350 more or less matching the Hellcat at quarter mile, the GT 350 a car that Ford never designed for drag racing as torque band is in wrong area. That is the task of Cobra jet and of course the upcoming GT500.

The Challenger is about looks an still be a true modern day muscle car, if you look at it for being a muscle car you can forgive its weight, poor handling and generally nasty interior. But at least it got a better AUTO than the Mustang. :D

can you imagine that Challenger going down narrow country lanes in the New Forest where i live  you'd be in the ditch trying to avoid oncoming tractors and vans etc, it is WAY TOO BIG for Hampshire roads.......the roads in America are fine though.

Don't change the wheels !

It is happening, I am not to fond of my wheels, I don't dislike them, but neither do I over like them and I cannot fit 295 rear and 275 front to stock wheels, well I could but tyres would bulge and would negatively impact handling. Will keep the stock wheels and no doubt outfit them with a focused wet performing summer tyre for winter or actual winter tyres.

Have these on order:

FS02-Dummy2.jpg~original

MMR FS02 direct Mustang fit wheel, still not 100% decided on size but will either be 20x10" front and 20x11" rear or those widths in 19", but prefer look of 20" and even in the larger size they are about 3kg per wheel lighter than stock 19" wheels with tyres weighing same.

Colour is what I cannot decide, either going to be liquid silver, light smoked graphite, gunmetal or black graphite (silver base with dark top clear cloat).

You do realise the Hellcat is only something like 3 inches wider than the Mustang?

the Mustang is probably too big for Hampshire country lanes as well, you're way better off in a much smaller car

I used to live in Hampshire when I had the Saleen, never an issue and I went for drives in the new forest, just gotta be careful in the narrower sections, but my mate used to bring his general lee along which was big.

All cars are getting bigger, just the way of the future. If you want a sports car for narrow lanes, buy a Caterham, MX5 those are small or simply take your time in parts where visibility is poor or narrow. :D

Look at the 911, take a 993 and then put a 991 next to it.

the narrow bends are really tricky at speed, plus you have to take car of all the damned cyclists in the summer as well, cycling is far more popular now since the Olympics, they're everywhere...they're very hard to overtake because they cycle side by side whilst chatting to each other..............you can totally forget a Bank Holiday as well, caravans and People Carriers everywhere

the best drive is maybe a quick blast to Bournemouth or Winchester/ Southampton, but dont go via the Country lanes too much

Don't matter what car your in, cyclist are an issue. If you want to drive and push hard that is what track days are for. :)

At least make it a spit for goodness sake. You'll find yourself playing star spangled banner on your way to work soon.
