Like me the owner has bonded with the car and absolutely loves it even for its weaknesses and shocking service from Ford. I am sure he was most unimpressed when he found out Ford sold him a crashed car. At least he is getting another brand new car in exchange, but it should never have happened in the first place.

Gibbo - What are the things you like about the Mustang? I have always loved 'stangs and promised myself one if a RHD version was ever made. Unfortunately I wasn't very impressed on a test drive so broke the promise to myself.

Read the thread as I'd only be repeating myself. :)

Its a bargain car, although its acknowledged as the interior isnt premium, thats expected from the price. Evidently the dealer support and parts also features in that compromise.

Looks like poor customer service but the car is cheap (for what it is) so something has to give.

Not an excuse at all to be honest and it seems the lack of service seems to spread to other cars in the Ford range.

Certainly makes me miss Porsche, they were brilliant in comparison with their used car extended warranty.

Got it back and it's still leaking FFS! I give up!!

I am so stressed its untrue! :(

I'd seriously be considering getting shot of it now. Plenty of other places your money could go, least of all somewhere with customer service that doesn't suck.

Was just about to say woop you've got it back but erm...useless gits!

I don't know what to say needless I am stressed beyond belief, it is weeping from the gasket, so they either never fitted a new gasket or they fitted it wrong or it was damaged in transit.

Had it up on ramp, could visible see it bubble when engine loaded, dip stick is still on maximum so its minor leak right now, brake cleaner the entire under-side, so its definetely fresh oil, gonna keep an eye on oil level and re-visit ramp again tomorrow to see how much it is kicking out.

But I simply do not wish to take it back to Ford, can I legally have it inspected by another specialist get them to say what is required and do the work and they then bill Ford?

All confidence is lost, how come I can I see it is leaking but they cannot, all they would have needed to do would be thoroughly clean the underside, have the car running in the air and it can be clearly seen there is an oil weep.

Seriously INCOMPETENCE I am gobsmacked !!

What can I do, I seriously do not intend on re-visiting Ford because all confidence is loss, they seem to have less knowledge on repairing and servicing cars than myself. :(

New car warranty with Ford is absolutely pointless, they should offer the car £2000 cheaper with zero warranty, because I would take that option!!!!

That sucks, your pretty much stuck with ford as regards to warranty work as they will not pay anyone else to do it unfortunately :(

I think you've actually come up with a sensible suggestion. I'd suggest you propose it to them in writing and see what they say.

Tried kicking off down the social media route or to Ford HQ to see what they say?

Already gone on their FB both Ford UK and Dealerships, they need to know I will not be silent now.

Will call them tomorrow and see what they say and I shall also email the MD tonight / tomorrow of Ford UK, again!

Problem being the people at the Ford garage are fitters and not really mechanics, this is the danger of main dealers, yet to find one i'm happy with.

I guess they just wanted shot of the car, it was taking up workshop space etc.

I would be kicking off big time.

If it's any comfort my R8 is back in with Audi for their 3rd attempt to find that clonk noise you heard when I took you out last week. Not major, just annoying. If they don't find it this time then I will consider going to rejection as it's been there since purchase. That will be messy and I don't want to as I love the car but need it right!

I'd stick a grenade up Ford's backside, they have been shocking with this.
