No, I mean I can use my wheel, it's just I can't set half of the buttons because there isn't an option for them in the options. It worked perfectly with MW because there was the option to set each and every control, but with carbon I can only set the basics (turn left/right, acellerate/brake, handbrake, nitrous, speedbreaker) and not the little things that made the game that little bit easier to play, like view change, pull back camera and look back.

Wheel is great fun on carbon especially with the drifts and a good car.
 
Is my PC going to be up to running this smoothly with decent graphics settings?

X850 XT PE, A64 3500+, 2Gb Corsair. Was pretty decent when I upgraded it but that was WELL over a year ago now.

thanks man, i actually have a PS2 control pad on my PC, but it wont let me edit the buttons on it for some reason.

Oh Fox, your spec is similar to mine and i get 30-50fps constant completely maxed out with 4xAA@1280x1024.
 
30fps is fine for me, though i can understand not everyone can handle that.
And the collectors edition has a few more cars, like the koenigsegg CCX and the Jaguar XK, and also has a dvd with video clips and stuff on it.
 
Ugh, i'm having a major problem with it, it keeps crashing for no damn reason. 3 times in the last hour it gets the 'encountered an error and needs to close' crap.
 
God the acting and cheese of this had me cringing all over while watching it, then the game itself with pap graffics 1280 by 1024 with 4x anti etc wow thats pushing hardware even with advances settings it looks cack.

totally disapointed so I took it back.
 
I dont know about you guy's but i thought the game looked a load better when i turned visual treatment to low and turned motion blur off in my opinion the cars look great then , i have only had played a few quick races but will try to give it a good bash at the weekend but then again i am also trying to play football manager on pc tiger woods on 360 , fifa on 360 and pro evo on 360 , why o why do they have to bring all the games out at the same time every year :mad: :D .
 
Sorted my problem. I don't think the visuals are that bad, nothing special, but not bad. And I commend EA for actually trying to put a story into these games, however bad they are :p .
 
hey guys i seem to be having some trouble with mine, when im racing the car is constantly accelerating as if a button is stuck on my controler but i have tested it with MW and it works fine, is anyone elses doing this?
 
Just done first boss, started off with the RX8 and tuned it up, also won the bosses car, should I use his car or stick with the RX8 and tune it up? at the moment it's tuned for acceleration, hits about 150 mph flat out
