Need for Speed: Shift 2: Unleashed

ive downloaded that minmal mod and holy crap it makes this game feel amazing. I would now say it feels better than driving on Forza and the visuals are stunning.

I do have one issue it feels like my FF is changing evrey race. One race its very stiff and then next its very floaty and light.

What gives?

Thats a real shame, the last game had promise and I loved the visceral in car cam but the handling model was a joke. I dont mind arcadey but like you say this was just broken.
Cant believe they havent fixed it, you'd think with a driving game you'd start with getting the handling right and building everything around that :confused:.

Seems much like Test Drive Unlimited 2 in that they tried to move forward without addressing any of the issues from the first game.

maybe listen to people who have played it insteasd of watched videos?

that feeling is still there but its much betetr than Shift 1. If you get the right settings for the wheel its pretty much eliminated

It would be nice if there was a demo so that people like me could at least try it out but when all you have to go on are videos and the human controlled cars all seem to be pivoting around the middle rather than steering from the front just like they always did in Shift 1, it doesn't inspire much confidence to go and throw £30 at them to make sure.

Here's mine. Still tweaking

FF 100%

Steering DZ 0%
Steering Sens 45%

Throttle DZ 0%
Throttle Sens 50%

Brake DZ 0%
Brake Sens 50%

Clutch DZ 0%
Clutch Sens 50%

Speed Sens 100%

Try these as a starting point

Edit: I set my cars up with full understeer in 'Quick Tuning' and lower the tyre pressures to about 30

I think this game is totally made for steering wheels, when I first installed it I tried with xbox joypad and I could tell straight away it sucks with joypad and with steering wheel it feels amazing.

I dont know how anyone could play a game like this with a joypad. Some car games are made for joypads, some car games for steering wheels, some can use both and still feel good, imo this game can only be played with steering wheel.
 
really loving this game atm 1st game i've used a steering wheel on and using manual clutch and gears which was hard at 1st for saying i dont drive lol but loving it now cant imagin going back to a controller now only down side is the level is capped at 20 :(

Really?

I think it feels shocking on the wheel. I've tried various settings and downloaded the mini-mod thing, but there's just no feel at all. Compared to games like GTR and rFactor it's poop. You can't tell when the backs coming round or anything.

What wheel are you using and what settings?
