Evening all. Had hardly any time last week and just didn't get into last week's combo at all - I hate the short, twisty tracks. Well played to the winners, I think I predicted a win for Wedge last week didn't I ;)

This week looks similar for me, I might only get tonight to play, but I will at least post a time:

I would like to start participating in this soon, I recently purchased shift. Can I ask what peripherals you fast guys are using? Also, are you running any special settings, as the default handling model seems all oversteer, it's mad?

Welcome Alex,
There's a few wheel users on here, I use a x360 pad myself.
If by default handling you're referring to right at the beginning of the game, then yes the handling is to put it mildly, crap. This is due to the insane default controller settings implemented in the game.
Let us know what controller you intend to use & we'll help with the setup.
Of course, in addition to the controller settings, the cars can be fine tuned to specific driving styles/tracks. Again, we're more than happy to help out in this area too.
None of us are running any mods (PC) BTW.

Also get the latest patch 1.02.

Hi Alex, welcome. I use a G25, let me know if you would like the settings I use.

Probably my last submission for this week:

Cool, thanks guys, that's really helpful. I have a Logitech Driving Force GT and a 360 controller that I could possibly use. I've found the wheel is usually faster (even in GRID), though with this game I'm really not sure. I've only had a small amount of play time as I'm currently working hard towards some exams, but I just wanted to get a feel as to what you were all using. I think the DFGT will be similar in setup terms to the G25 - it's not the same by any stretch, but it feels more like a G25 than a Driving force pro, which is what I had previously. Of course, if a pad is quicker, I don't mind using that too, I guess I can give both a go when I have the time. Ideally I'd like the handling a bit more predictable, I tend to enjoy driving more with a slightly understeering setup. If you could tell me how you've changed the settings to help I'd be grateful.

Hi Alex. I used to use a 360 pad but much prefer the G25. I don't think it's necessarily quicker but it's much more immersive with a wheel & pedals. Here's my settings, hope they help.

Brilliant, I'll give them a whirl on the DFGT at the next opportunity. Thanks.
