Need for Speed Shift - Time Trial Championship

As far as I know, and in my own experience, any recording done with FRAPs or Xfire means your on screen frame rate will br capped at 30 FPS.

Some games it's ok at that frame rate, usually console ports, but other games make your eyes water.
 
Just tried xfire, its worse than fraps :(

Just seen in the movie settings in Fraps you can change it from the defualt of 30fps to 60fps. Will give that a go.

Sorry mate I forgot to mention that I use 'Half Size' '30 fps'.

If it works OK on my system should be OK on yours
 
still got some way to go but it's improving slowly...

think i'm going to take the plunge and buy a G25 this weekend, it's only money...
 
I am trying desperatly to record a lap, fraps is about the best at half size 30fps, but even then it stutters so baddly apon braking into the final chicane that i hit the wall at the end eveytime :(
It just unplayable with fraps running :( :(

Also tried xfire, which is no better, and a trail of gungame (i think it was called, deleted it almost as fst as i installed it)

can you not just use fraps after you have completed the time trial then hit replay and record it then ?

I had similar probs... ended up buying FRAPS... change the frame rate to 60FPS & set it to half size record... it's a lot better but still get abit of stuttering.
I was gonna thrown in another HDD and record onto that i rekon that should sort it :) but i've been distracted by my new g.skill 9600 ddr2 :D

I see if i can drop the 2nd HDD in later and let you know how i get on
 
Zytok try with more front brake bias as yer backs are locking up . Also yer braking way to soon for the 2nd to last corner before the long straight . That can be taken nearly flat out with just a dab of the brakes on the crest .

Ok watched the video a few times.. dam yer car seem quick in the straights .. and over 140 down the big one.. im lucky if im pulling 125 . Hmm . Im assuming yer using advanced settings ? What sorta gearing are you using as that looks a lot quicker than mine

put 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th on far left (fastest acceleration). 5th is one notch further right, 6th 2 notches. Tops out perfectly just as the red marker kicks in though you don't need to brake until the cones.
 
yer a star .. I was going as fast i could but was having to use nitrous between corners just to keep some speed up . Will try this later
