Nope. You're not alone. It takes me at least 3 sessions to get in the low 2.05's, another 3 to hit 2.04 then another ~3 to hit 2.04's consistently.
So let's say each session = 3 laps (incl. Rolling Start) that's 27-30 laps not incl. restarts
01 lap(s) = 2.02
05 lap(s) = 2.03 (2 low 03's)
15 lap(s) = 2.04
10 lap(s) = 2.05
That's a lot of laps to get ONE 2.02 time & I've only hit 2.02 three times in a week!!

Yeah, lots of thoughts, just no ideas LOL.
Track/Car:
Ambush Canyon 2.39m/Aston Martin V8 Vantage (Quite Technical),
Autopolis GP 2.88m/Lotus Exige S (Very Technical),
Spa GP 4.33m/Porsche 911 GT2 (Favours Aggression),
Plus the other variants of the tracks already used.

I think Marine favours the American Muscle style car judging by promoting the Ford GT (added to the fact he can drive the wheels off em' as well). I'm more a precision driver myself but the AM's are the most fun.

Not to mention the concentration levels required for ~8 mins.
Plus the patch1.1 users are at disadvantage straight away due to the timer. The patch1.2 on Tuesday should fix that though.
We could have a compromise though. How about switching to Race & selecting one of the 3 (I think) point to point segments of the Full Nordschleife circuit when the occasion suits.

Easy for me to concentrate plus i know that track like the back of my hand :D

Don't think I'll be putting another time up anytime today it's like you said once every few laps that you will reach near to 2:02 and it hurts my head when i fail :)
 
Go on Nikaz i am sure you are safe this week, can't see any one beating your time especially if Marine is not trying any more.

Hmm this would be interesting my best time at the moment according to the game is 6:43 with the Zonda.

This selection is subject to me winning week 9 or runner up passing on selection so may change

Mmm Spa one of my favorites :)

Edit: Just had a go and my Porsche that i have already needs to be tuned as this track has a very uneven surface on the first straight which makes the car lag. The brakes are awesome on this motor really powerful and enable late braking :)

My god this is gonna be hard the suspension on this car has a hard time coping with the bumpy track surface and there is nothing you can do about it but the handling is brilliant.
And so here is a completely useless time from me soo many mistakes :)

great to see you guys having fun with last week's selection. Wish I was there to take part this week but when you have glaciers and observatories to see then I guess they have to take priority. :D

Updated the OP guys. This is the final week for me. Always said i'd run it for 10 weeks.

NIKAZ, big thank you for supporting my lazy arse :p Forza 3 grabbed my attention which is the reason i've been neglecting this so sorry about that.

No doubt you'll be running a second season so I wish you all the best :)

Ahh where does the time go feels like only yesterday......:)

Second season would be nice but who want's the key's, NIKAZ!!! :D
 
First go on this car/track combo.Plenty of grip available with this car just need to find right lines.
