Had 20 mins on this before work this morning, looking forward to a real go at it tomorrow night, I've had hardly any time this week

My first run was 7.45.. second 7.22, still.. miles away from the 6.51 :(
and all with the gtr works

what do you think about that performance cap?

Inguana.. congrats on your vintage car
hope it serves you well.

2.19.650

Thank you guys...

Nikaz setup helped a lot.

I think that super soft rear suspension was the key.
I stiffen and increased front suspension and sway bar,
and increased rear rebound...
..all by just a notch.

also increased negative camber just by one click
droped a click the 6th gear and used 8~10 downforce.

I did record the reply from the last 2 flying laps.. and I can see where I am loosing time.
However I am not sure I can catchup.. :(
Nikaz is far more agreesive on cornering.. way to go mate... ;)

I 'll re-encode and upload later on tonight... to let me know what you think

Hey inam22 -what's your observations after moving from Xbox to PC? Better or worse? Easier or harder?

Its definately easier with the latest patch(can't comment on before the patch comparison because i haven't treid that) and one noticeable differnce is no more bumps any more and you don't loose control for no reason.Have you tried latest patch yet and if yes what you think of it?

EDIT:tried few other car/track combo as well, to be honest with you there is not great lot of difference in handling of xbox and pc version both are pretty much same but as i said before with the lastest patch you don't get bumps any more and because of that you can carry bit more speed through those corners.

You guys are catching me up. Better put in some hot laps.:D

On the latest patch, has anyone got the psychedelic paint job? It looks out of place, as if my update is corrupt. Might have to do a clean install then update patch if no one else has this issue.
I'll post a snap shot if you're unclear as to what i mean.

Edit. This...

Hi NIKAZ- I think that's a known issue with the new patch, I read it somewhere although I haven't experienced it..

Great time btw - was that using the settings you posted before? I cant play this ujntil tomorrow but once again you are looking out of reach!

Hi,

Not had a problem with the 'im tripping on acid' car but i have noticed on some starts of a race the sound is reduced to half but after a restart its fine.

oh and i have not noticed any difference in the handling with the new patch but then im not paying attention half the time lol.

That lap time is amazing Nikaz! and the others who have improved!
Me i just managed to stay 3 secs behind my posted lap time, im doing well :D

OK thanks for that. I'll re-install... see if that sorts it. Although the colour scheme grows on you after a while.

Thanks. Yeah the same settings. I must say I've learned a lot from using Stock (no tuning) cars over the last couple weeks. With no tuning your forced to find the limit rather than tweaking the setup of the car to gain a faster time.
When you tweak a few settings & find your lap time slower you immediately revert back. Maybe if you persevered a bit longer a faster time would be achievable. For this reason I do like the idea of using Stock cars, it levels the playing field somewhat & you can just jump in & drive with no worries about haviing a good setup.
On the subject of Stock cars, since the patch there seems to be ALL (I'll double check) cars available @ Stock in Time Attack mode. Is this the same for everybody?

Have you watched my Vid Brackish? You'll see where I brake, what speed the car is capable of through corners etc etc.
This track/car combo requires aggression. e.g braking late, hard turn in, powering through the curves.
After watching my Vid if you want any pointers just ask. I'll be happy to help out.

I done a 7.08 dead on my 2nd go. First time I've raced the track. GTR spec V (R35) the non works one. I see what you mean about it being addictive. Mastering all those corners is gonna be tough.
I'll go check out this performance cap idea.

I have watched the vid but i just cant get it right lol, never really been that good at racing games but i love them!

I am getting there slowly but i need another month to get anything below a 2.17.000 lol

I did a run with the works GTR (35), made a hash of but got 7.21 first go, might ahve a go in the non works one to see what its like.

NIKAZ was your GTR fully tuned?

Last lap for me, i await the next challenge!!! :D

That's over a second off your previous time. Well done.

I used the tuning setup from a previous event a few weeks back. See here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=15198065&postcount=868.
Not an ideal setup for this track. I just wanted a quick go without flaffing about with settings in a car I know.

This time came out the blue. I was trying to break the 2.16 barrier and ended up nearly breaking the 2.15 barrier

shift2009-12-0419-40-41-43.jpg

Damn you Nikaz, as i was thinking that we are getting closer to your time you came with this time.By the way that is excellent time, i think high 2.15 is possible for me but can't see anyone beating your time though.

niceone Nikaz..

I managed a sloppy 7.05 with the Zonda R and no tunning.. so 6.51 with the GTR works, is deff out of my reach.
Just on that long stretch.. it goes up to 295Km.h and only 265 with the nissan.
still.., there is hope.

About the stock car.. I know what you mean..,
cause it is easy to revert to previous setup.. instead of just keep pushing it.
Finding the limits on default is an essential step.

I start by adding plenty of downforce.. finding a good suspension setup
and then gradually removing it again..

but I am now stuck at 2.20.500, 2.20.700, 2.20.200
If I take more off.. I tend to skid off the track.. and they are a few bumps that if I hit by mistake.... they send me flying off..
