Is crossfire enabled? Because everyone with X2's have had problems. So it might a crossfire problem. Just an educated guess.
No hard locks for me either, but I am using a 9800GX2. I have had the system go haywire and not register any key presses for a good 15 seconds. Had to quit the race and restart to get the car to turn. Also had the camera start doing complete circles of the car whilst racing 
1GB memory is more than enough....
Try 4xAA, does it run any better? For me it runs perfectly, never under 30fps, 8xAA and it grinds to a halt but then runs smooth, possibly not a problem with crap hardware, but then again, I only have 512mb so that could be it.

currently have 3 cars on the go, a porsche gt3 rs and the other 2 i'm building up into works cars, an escort cosworth and a bmw m3 (square front lights one).
anyone got any car unlock codes? did'nt get any freebies from the jersey shop
edit; very suprised how stable the game is without any patches yet, 12 hours playing and no crashes at all.

how to change them to works? i've seen this mentioned in game when i unlocked tier 4.. but what i have to do? fine tuning?

Well I tried the demo and one thing that annoys the hell out of me, where the hell is the "Exit" button on the main menu screen?
Alt + F4 doesn't work and obviously whilst Alt-Tabbing into Task Manager is simple enough, it is extremely annoying have to do that.
Either I have missed something, or the demo is just totally wrong in places. How the hell could they have let this happen?

After recently completing at 24hr race around le mans on gtr2 I was looking forward to the better graphics on this.
Well the graphics are better but nothing else about the game is. The driving model on this is rubbish. I use a Logitech driving force gt and even after an hour of setting up I still cant get any kind of 'feel' for the car. Force feed back is meaningless and the steering vauge.
This is definately not my cup of tea.

The graphics just wow every time, having an E46 myself I found myself gazing at the inside and outside of the M3 for ages trying to find a fault.....I found one! And that's only the centre vent hot/cold dial, red should be at the bottom

This is pretty good actually after you spend a good 4 hours trying to fix the horrible default control settings for the G25.
well just downloaded, using with an xbox 360 controller its definatly lacking in that department, and graphics are not entirely smooth for me , currently in crossfire, will be a wait and see to see if these issues get sorted before splashing any cash on it

Anyone played the game with a Logitech G25 yet? Really tempted to get one, to play Grid, Dirt and Dirt 2, and now this.
Is the G25 good for this? And for the other games of course.

It's great with the G25 once you get the settings sorted out, the default settings for the G25 are just terrible.
I have to agree, I've been trying all night and it's no better now than when I started.
I only have the demo and every time I start the game I have to enter every setting from scratch and then after I try to exit the first race I have to sit through a 2min video all for the sake of two laps with a controller that feels like it's made of jelly.
The worst mod in rFactor is more controllable than this.
yep setting the g25 for 50% sensitivity for braking and acceleration is silly as that makes it on or off, set those to 0-5% and both steering settings i've turned down to 40% and for me that's slighlty close to my gtr2/rfactor setup.
for me the most negative thing about the career mode is that you can't practise on the tracks you've never seen before within the career mode. have to exit out and do a quickie with 0 cars. they did'nt really think that through imo. over all though i much prefer this to Grid.
