^ Need for Speed Shift ^

I'm really worried by some of the things I'm hearing...

So they claim it is going to be realistic but accessible, and a large proportion of people are saying its awful.
Sounds like another GRID :/
 
I have just ordered a copy. Seems to be 2 camps, those that have already played the game and those that have already played the game, clearly illegally! Surely one should reserve comments/judgement until it is feasable that someone has legally tried the game!!
 
Don't get too worried until you try it yourself. The lack of an official demo in advance of release is very frustrating though.

The graphics do look amazing, and performance reported to be great, so this is not a console port right? And shows EA might have done a good job optimizing it.
 
Don't think there are any Volvos but there is a Simbin title that is dedicated to Volvos iirc. Might even be free to play..
 
well i think the handling is brilliant, so life like tbh. if u want a game with cars that are on rails. get need for speed undercover xD runs beautifully on my ati card. no complaints about this game! brilliant with the xbox 360 wireless controller.
 
Releasing a demo weeks after release always sets alarm bells ringing for me - what are they trying to hide?

So many times with late demos (or just no demo) it's turned out to be because the game had something awful up with it and the demo would have put people off so they wait til after the most profitable first two or three weeks.

Luckily, a lot of people here seem pretty pleased with it though, so fingers crossed.
 
well there is a difference xD ferrari is built by ferrari and owned by fiat and bugatti veyron is built by VW who are one big company with audi, skoda and seat xD and lamboroghini is owned by audi, built by lamboroghini with a lot of audi running gear, such as the transmission and drivetrain.

Looks stunning though, and my first car of choice for career mode was the Focus ST :D
