did you get past the first lap and race ?

I use a G25 and it works perfectly, maybe you just need to put more into learning how the game works and tuning the wheel in the options.. once you have it sussed the games fantastic with it !

Catalyst version is 9.9

I reinstalled windows yesterday and just got the latest drivers.

Edit - I love the collisions on this game! It's very realistic. Or so I'd imagine never crashed into another car in my days. :p

Just driven the Veyron, Nordschleife challenge, felt like an eternity.

Dont think I've concentrated on a game so much in my life, 7minutes of pure hell. :D

Cracking stuff.

No problems here, as other people have mentioned the loading times are a little annoying but it does all work eventerly.
The worst is the delay in flicking through the cars in the shop, just not something you would expect on a pc.

Runs amazingly well, I only have a little E2180 but no problems even on a 24" monitor.

I used the 360 pad settings posted earlier and its much better.

Im rubbish at it, but its fun, never gave grid/dirt etc any time so can't compare it but I think its worth the money, certainly seems like there is a good amount of play time in the career mode.

Annoyingly it wont. Max settings, 8xAA, 1650 x 1050. Average of about 40. Dips to 20 which is really bad. Thought it would handle this game but think the cards 1Gb of memory is the problem.
 
Just tryed the demo and my 4890 was fine :)

Would i be able to use my G25 on the demo just to test out ?

It's a bit crap trying to drive using the keyboard. I had to turn off the auto braking and streeing help, which made it much easyer to controll the car but still probably much more fun with a wheel.
 
I'm only playing the demo but I really like this game. And that's saying something considering the bad NFS stuff after most wanted and also the fact I'm having to use the keyboard... I've not played GRID though :\ Is that better? I love racing games. Played Forza a lot. :)
 
running on a 4890 at 1900 and performance is great

on keys (urgh) at the moment

but I'm not getting that real I'm driving feeling I got with Forza 2 .. and the replays don't look quite good - even though the graphics are amazing - especially in hi res- just not there for me
 
Been playing for about an hour now, very impressive graphically. It will take some time to get used to the handling as I'm sliding around a lot (using keyboard) but its made a good first impression - just quite a lot more difficult than I had invisaged.

I play GRID a lot which I think is much more forgiving but with some practice and maybe some tuning I'll improve!

Plays well at max settings on my 4850 (1680x1050) although was starting to lag a little after a while.
 
Anyone else finding this game hardlocks their PC?

Windows 7 64 bit here, no other game gives me this many problems

i7 920 @ stock
6GB Corsair RAM
4870x2 GPU

hardlocks literally stop me doing anything and I have to do a manual reset, even ctrl-alt-del don't work?
