Not really contradictory. I said fairly realistic. If the car didn't powerslide round every corner, it would be realistic, not fairly realistic wouldn't it?

I have already stated that I have played the game on both my 360 with pad and my PC with wheel (Logitech DFP).

I DIDN'T COME BACK IN TO THE THREAD TO REPEAT MY PREVIOUS POINTS OR 'DIG' AT ANYBODY.

I CAME BACK TO CORRECT YOU ON YOUR INCORRECT ASSUMPTION THAT PEOPLE DON'T LIKE THE GAME BECAUSE THEY FIND IT TOO DIFFICULT.

That's it, that's all I've done. I haven't repeated any of my previous points and grievances about the game, and I certainly haven't had digs at people just because they have said they like the game. Hell, I've even resisted commenting on RobRX-7's contradictory posts so as to avoid repeating my earlier points.

You appear to be reading my posts and seeing what you want to see, rather than what I've actually been saying.

I can play the game, i can win races, i dont find it difficult, but i still think that the game is rubbish, only reason i am playing is something to fill the gap in between Dirt 2 and Forza 3 being released.

I have never seen a racing car power slide around every corner in real life, hmmm

I'd say it is contradictory, even for 'fairly' realistic i'd expect the cars not to be sliding around like that. It's a pretty basic element of the physics engine and somewhat undermines the entire handling model of the car.

Seeing as you claim this to be fact rather than your opinion, I assume you can back it up with some sort of evidence that people dislike the game based on it's difficulty rather than it's poor physics model and appalling control setup.

Personally i've not seen indication of people disliking the game due to being too hard.

It's not difficult in the slightest. With all the assists on, I can win a race without touching the brake pedal once!

there are many people who have 'bought' NFS Shift and play it with a console controller and manage to drive and set laptimes no problems. However, in your stubbornness you refute that the game has any redeeming qualities and is 'crap'.

please feel free to explain why myself and thousands of other Shift players are enjoying the game immensely and are happily discussing its merits IF the game like you say is so bad ? Why the game has received so many high scores in reviews ? why ?

surely if this game were as bad as the few of you are saying, this thread wouldnt have had so much traffic, so to spk :)

okay the threads been seriously derailed, ill accept ive sadly be drawn into this process and contributed to that, but for now shall we just all have a cuppa a scone and get back on track ?

BTW if you go back and read the full post that I have quoted above (and my other posts earlier in the thread) you'll see that they are not 'childish rants', they are constructive critisism of the game's physics model.

I am now utterly convinced you are just trying to bait me. Unfortunately despite the fact that I keep saying I will leave the thread I just can't help taking the bait. Like I just have, again :(

I didn't think you'd be able to put any substance behind that 'fact' you trotted out earlier, can't say i'm surprised.

No post editing is needed, you just need to brush up on your comprehension skills.

There is no 'enforcing' going on - merely a refutal of your claim that those who dislike the game do so due to it being too difficult for them, when it would seem the people who dislike it do so more because they find the physics model and thus handling quite poor. This doesn't necessarily mean they find it hard - I had absolutely no issue winning races on the demo, it wasn't too difficult, but i'm still of the opinion the mechanics are flawed. You're reading what you want to see, not what people are actually writing.

You didn't get drawn into this process though, you started it and you know full well you did.
