Loads of grip as you'd expect with this car.

Edit.. Good luck everybody trying to beat danswan. Another AWD car LOL. Can he be the first to get three in a row... never been achieved yet.

Thanks all, we'll see how this week goes, I obviously have some affinity with AWD cars, despite the fact I had to wiki what AWD meant when we started this time trial lol.

I think a lot of my upturn in fortunes recently is due to me starting to get to grips with this G25, I think if used correctly it should always give me an advantage over pad users, it's highly recommended. Only problem is I am now about to shell out the best part of £300 on a seat/frame to mount the thing on :eek:

Ah, a wheel user. I'm sure sweeping turns (i.e. Donington) are easier to manage with a wheel.

On the subject of seat/frame etc. Take a look at these wheel/pedal stands Dan.

No doubt mate - there's no chance I would have got close to the times I have managed in recent weeks with the 360 pad, kudos to all of you for the times you are managing.

I hadn't actually seen that wheel stand before Nikaz, it would be just the job for sitting in the living room in front of the plasma, but I'm after the Gameracer type of cockpit affair - unfortunately they set you back quite a bit more :mad:

There's a guy on the bay (search for 'racing gaming seat') who makes a product very similar to the Gameracer elite but for a bit less, with the same Corbeau seat and all, I think that's what I am going to go for. It's a lot of money I know but I have a perfect place for it in my little computer room and I have the money to spare after christmas with not much else to spend it on. I'll keep you updated if I get one.

I had a big shock when I tried this challenge at first, it took me half an hour to realise that the reason I was nearly 30 seconds behind your early times wasn't just my racing incompetence, it was the fact that I was on the wrong track! National not International :D

im a wheel user on 360 but it dodnt help me much :p my desk is slightly too high for my chair tho so im slightly out of position when using it, which is enough to make it a bit uncomfortable :(

I think this weeks will be very close - there's only 6 turns to master and the car's very stable. I think we might be seperated by hundredths of a second at the end.

Utajoker I hear you - at the moment I have to have frequent breaks as it just gets too uncomfortable sittting here at my desk with the wheel in an almost perfect position.

I agree. This combo will be close.
grs remember the Skyline Willow Springs Combo from season 1 and how much grip the Skyline has. This car is similar, so much grip. It's a very easy car to drive & the Silverstone National circuit is very flat & smooth. I can't see 2+ sec separating the top ten personally.
 
yeah congrats danswan, great time! This weeks does sound fun, i will try and give it a go tommorow. I've been busy replaying half life 2 atm. Honestly with the cinematic mod 10 and eyefinity, it makes it a completley different game!
