need nice and quiet case

But they don't specify how much space you need where he is actually having the problem.

Return under distance selling act if you can.

Still have not decided if I will cancel mine yet.

Yes, but on mine the return pipe from the processor went into the top of the radiator, not the bottom and then the return flow came out of the bottom, cooled down. The pipes entered and exited the radiator where that 16mm space is.

How long ago did you build your ones ?

Also - how was the Laing ?

About 3 months ago. The Laing was similar, but I think the pipes did go into the bottom.

If that is the case, I won't take the risk and will cancel my order.

However the Laing fitted on the Eclipse..right ?

how weird. but if I return mine there're no garanties that the one i'll order will fit. Have you got pictures of the ones you fitted before ?

No, but I'm fairly sure I could organise to do a maintenance visit at the customer in question ;)

socreative - you could email the manufacturer and explain the problem and you are going to rma to the store. Ask them if the specs have changed ?

Seems like a good plan.

Look here if you want to know who makes the best psu's
http://www.jonnyguru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103

The best in no particular order are PC Power and Cooling, Zippy, Etasis, Silverstone. Pretty much everything else is Tier 2 or lower and does not have the same internal build quality or performance as the ones I just mentioned. This is all backed up by detailed testing Jonny himself has done who is highly thought of in the PSU community. Tier 2 includes Enermax, Seasonic and Corsair. Corsair and also the new PC Power and Cooling silencers are made by Seasonic by the way. That's not to say any of those PSU's are bad. But Tagan is geneally frowned upon by PSU aficionados over using the less then stellar Topower designs and not being able to hold their rated power. I wouldn't touch a Tagan or a BFG for that matter.

So if you want the best psu in my opinion get an Etasis 850w. They can be found for the same price as a Corsair or Seasonic 600watter.

I've never returned anything under DSR. That's what they say on their site
"Under the Distance Selling Regulations you have a 7 working day cooling-off period starting from the day after receipt to cancel the order for all retail mail order transactions excluding trade/business transactions, all computers and items specifically built/assembled for you, delivery charges*, unsealed software or movies and perishable items."

Do I have to give them good reasons for return or "it doesn't fit" will be enough ?

You don't need to give any reason at all. The DSR is meant to give you the same opportunity to inspect goods as you would have if you were actually in the shop. So you can unwrap the product and look at it, but not use it. If you don't like it, you can just send it back. Just say you are not satisfied with it and you wish to return it under the Distance Selling Regulations.
