need your feedback (pc build)

Problem I have is actually common since there is a lot of people looking for answers how to get this thing resolved. Also I remember I had same problem few 2 or 3 years ago even I was doing DVD installation. Eventually fiend who know computers more than I do helped out
Unfortunately I was unable to be there when he got it installed

We'll work it out - i'll look into when i have time late tonight - it's been a long time since i did a Windows 7 install and encountered problems like this (been a long time since i did a Windows 7 install fullstop).

I tend to work all hours (i have a second screen with the forums stuck in a corner) so I only do token searches with things i'm not 100% familiar to help jog my memory. I'm hopeful i'll find a definite solution to your problem if i look properly later tonight when i've finished my work.

It maybe the USB 3 driver added to the install pendrive might be the solution.

Annoying thing is that there are many ways of getting this problem resolved. Unfortunately there is no 1 solution that will help on any occasion

We have some specifics relating to your modern setup and we can cover some by applying more than one solution at the same time...

ok so where do we start today? I I even tried to create windows xp from USB but this didn't work either
Are you absolutely positive that your windows 7 install is 64 bit?

I think we'll disable the UEFI to support Legacy PC process (page 29 of your manual) - even if you are.

  • Clear the CMOS
  • Load optimised defaults
  • set the settings you're sure of
  • Disable UEFI
  • Check sata controller is on AHCI.
  • set boot order to usb first boot
  • save exit.
EDIT: XP wouldn't stand a chance with UEFI.

I am positive. I just bought new pen drive with intentions of returning if it won't make any difference. If that won't help then I'll proceed with your latest instructions. And after that I'll proceed with DVD installation using my old optical drive which didn't work properly as far as I know. But I'll give it a shoot

Be sure to format the new drive etc...

But i would try my above suggestions first so it's easier to return the pendrive unopened 'if' reverting to Legacy support works...

I'm about for now - but I have a conference call that's meant to commence at 3pm (someones usually late), i won't be multitasking during that so there may be a delay in my responses from that time.

Okso after a lot of pain and tears and nerves in managed to go around this problem. I used kinda Polish way. Basically I installed windows 10 via USB without any problems, manged to run it and then installed 7. I'm giving you rights to write a tutorial in proper English for next generations. And final question, which drivers should I get drivers for from manufacturer sites?

The Windows 10 trick was next on my list - but was unsure how you would interpret it :)

Nice Fix.

Go to INTEL for the chipset and Nvidia for your GFX card - (i'll find links)

EDIT: Don't install the 3D bloatware with the nVidia drivers - choose custom install.

There are some issues I'm experiencing actually. 1 I don't have internet connection via cable, although I have one when I'm on 10. 2 PC is kinda slow, no drivers due to no internet connection? I 3 one of my partition disappeared from my computer

You need the LAN driver from here - Clicky

Windows 10 is far better as assigning drivers than 7.

Be warned that 7 is terrible at assigning drivers - so disable recommended updates (only have critical enabled)

Ignore above post - didn;t know you were wireless - but you could perhaps move you PC to your router to downlaod drivers? (but may still need LAN drivers)
And windows seem to not recognize any USB devices. Tried my pen drive to install drivers for my Wi-Fi stick. Both are not detected
Have you installed the chipset drivers and USB drivers?

Rem: Windows 7 will think most of your modern hardware is alien...

one of my partition disappeared from my computer

EDIT: don't worry about small hidden partitions if that's what it is.

It's big 1tb partition with most of my stuff. OK everything seem to be perfect apart of playback. I don't hear any sound. I have installed audio drivers. I do know that my microphone is working. Is there possibility that I connected something wrong? Or if mic is working playback should work too

And obviously partition is still hidden. It was hidden when but got windows 10. 6bd during insulation of 7 I saw it available for installation

Do you have speakers on your monitor and separate speakers?

Go to Manage Audio Devices in Control Panel - and check that the playback is set to the right outputs/soundcard as default (set again if necessary)

Test

Post back

Will sort HDD when sound is sorted.

Can you see the drive in 'Disk Management'?

(Will be a bit sporadic with replies - more calls)
