Neighbour

I hate people like that! like how inconsiderate can you be!

I'd park in that spot, both cars! fight fire with fire if he doesn't listen to what you've got to say.

This is more of an annoyance rather than an offence really. Just park where he does to annoy him like others have said, he'll soon get the message!

If your 2 spaces are allocated and nobody else is allowed to park in them then park both of your cars where he would, solves the problems all round as he can no longer park there and your 2 cars can easily get in and out?

Was just about to suggest this.

Guy kept parking in front of a dropped kerb access to/from the courtyard of my apartment building.

Despite numerous warnings, he kept doing it.

It was almost impossible to get my bike into the courtyard.

After a long time and many many warnings, he still kept doing it and he was the only person who would park there.

I had a little tool that would remove the valve stem from the inside of the pressure valve (the one you use for inflation of a tyre)... so I would remove two of them in the middle of the night when no-one was looking.

He would come down to two deflated tyres, without the stems to hold any pressure in so he couldn't just pump them up and he only had one spare.

Despite doing this on about 5 occasions... he STILL kept parking in the same spot.

Ended up using superglue to stick a bunch of paper on his windscreen... the paper sheets were just normal A4... but the superglue on the windscreen spelled out a certain 4 letter C word that is banned on these forums... so that when he tried to pull the paper off, it would leave a massive swear word in very easy to see letters across his whole windscreen.

Then and only then, did he finally get the message and stop parking there.

Superglue does not come off a windscreen... he had to get the screen replaced... it was quite entertaining for a few days, even after he managed to get most of the paper off, he still had these big letters that looked like a distortion in the glass.

Almost amusingly... only about 2-3 weeks later, the local council changed the parking regulations for that street and no-one was able to park there at any hour of the day due to updated bus routes.

Check the rules (there's a posh word for them that I can't remember) for the estate, ours specifically state that you can only park in allocated spaces or the road and that caravans cannot be parked for more than 1 day.

Enforcement is a whole different thing.

That is very much OTT

 Someone won't do as you ask so you do criminal damage to their property, nice one....

I'll agree with everyone else, the other guy was being a tool but crinkleshoes has been a complete moron and has taken things way to far.

Here comes the OCUK Motor brigade on schedule.

Someone parking a car that causes inconvenience to someone else (notice - he was still able to get his bike in, just not as easily as if the car hadn't been there) does not deserve to have their car vandalized.

Get back in your box, anyone acting like that deserves to be called out on it - he was a ****. It's nothing to do with whatever fictional "brigade" you've dreamt up

I agree. Just so wrong what he did to that persons car. That is just cowardice and vandalism.

No... you mis-read, there were multiple times that I was unable to park my bike under cover in the courtyard because of this tool.

Attempting to get the bike up the steep curb either side (when there weren't other cars parked in front and behind - which was rare when I would get back from work) ended up damaging the front wheel.

Cowardice? No... we had many altercations and from the first one where I was very pleasant towards him, asking nicely and trying to explain why it was an issue... he was violently threatening towards me for having dared talk to him, let alone ask him something nicely.

The stain on his window was apt for the person.

His vehicle was keyed by at least two people as well (myself not included in that one) among other things.

Suffice to say, this person was not well liked in the apartment block.

So he does something stupid and you return it back by doing something retarded.

Why didn't you just speak to the council?
Hopefully you get to taste your own medicine some day....

We did... many times... they refused to do anything... police either, even when peoples access was blocked from leaving the building.

I suspect it may have been a contributing factor to the change in parking regulations for the street. But considering the responses, this is only a guess.
