Netflix is now in the UK

:( its the American version, is there a uk version.

I know some people are happy watching older films but I found the selection poor. The selection of films on something such as the Zune marketplace is more what I'm after, but I'd prefer it with a subscription rather than a rental model.

what do you expect it's 5.99 a month. Also it's new and will take time to build up the collection.

Selection is ok, but acceptable for £6.00 a month, in time I am sure it will grow.

Quality seems pretty good too, destroys Lovefilm imo.

Watching through The I.T. Crowd atm......love it

What are most people using to watch this on? I've seen a few mention Xbox or the AppleTV2, but are most people using their PC?

I'm considering getting it, but the UI has to be wife-friendly.

Pc hooked up to tv, bedroom and lounge.
Untill cotton candy is released, then Hopfully on that, I assume there's an android app.

Using a Laptop plugged in to my TV, works great.

Has anybody found a way of browsing their full catalogue? Would love an easy way to find out exactly what's on it. I rated a few hundred movies yesterday and as a result there are now loads of new things that have appeared for my viewing pleasure.

I'm quite impressed with the amount on offer and will be signing up once the trial is over.

Is it possible to setup some kind of list of films / series that you want to watch. I keep seeing films that look interesting on the main page and don't have the time to view them then and there. I know I will forget about some of them if there isn't some kind of reminder.

Not on uk version :(, no idea why they've removed the instant play list.

Just had to google that "Cotton candy" device, looks good as a dedicated Netflix device, although it depends on pricing.

I'd be tempted to get an ATV2 or just put it on via the PS3 as they're both UI friendly, I think asking the wife to use the Mac and AV receiver would be pushing it!

On topic: Wasn't there a link to the full catalogue?

it's American site for American version, so useless. As far as I can see there's no way to select uk titles. Someone must have done something.

As for price, well under $200 for devloper early release and they hopping to get it down to the $100ish mark by the proper public release. Hopping to get one of the devloper ones, out in q1 on their site.
I'm thinking probably $150 mark.
So neat and hidden. Eventually Hopfully a w8 device will come out from someone.

I can't believe there is no way to see the full UK catalog, just seems barmy.

To be honest what on there at the moment isn't even a good free trial let alone a service I'm gonna pay for.

That just won't happen in the foreseeable future.

The streaming market has to be negotiated with the Studios by the companies offering the service, they aren't going to allow new films to be streamed on a subscription service when the existing rental model generates them revenue on new films.

I've tried it on all devices I own (Xbox 360, PS3, iPad 2, iPhone, Apple TV 2) and consider the Apple TV 2 UI to be the most user friendly and intuitive.

For a more tech savy user, the PS3 UI is the way to go imo as it will provide you with the current video and audio quality if you press Select during streaming.

The 360 UI is the most fancy but I've certainly just naturally felt myself more inclined to use the PS3 and Apple TV 2 ones.

well seems the best i can get video quality wise is medium HD anyone had any better and what speed did you need to hit it ??

im currently getting 350-370k per sec download. just curious how short i am of getting high hd.
