Netflix is now in the UK

My trial has expired as well and if I use the unblock-us DNS servers on my PC and visit Netflix it redirects me to unblock-us saying I need to sign up. However on my PS3 using their DNS servers it's still loading the US Netflix and working fine. Very strange, I don't really understand how they can stop you using it for free on the PS3.

thats what I thought. anyone else gone past a week on the ps3/xbox?

Tried this out on my Xbox the other day. Really impressed with the ease of use and design, but the catalogue needs work. At the moment, I don't think it's worth paying for. It shows signs of being worth it in the future, but right now, there just aren't enough big films or franchises.

Is it me, or is there no instant que like the american version. So cant save any films to a play list. So if you spot something you want to watch later you have to remember it, rather than just saving to a list.

I think this is really good actually. Video quality is not bad, and there is a fairly decent selection to choose from. Give it time, and it will surely overtake Lovefilm and iTunes digital rental service.

Well that sucks hairy big ones, you need to pay for an xbox live gold account before you can use the netflix app on the xbox. FU microsoft.

Breaking Bad is supposed to have 3 seasons in HD on Netflix UK, only 2 available and none in HD.

Netflix US has 3 seasons in HD.

24 is also supposed to be in HD but playback is only in SD quality.

Poor show.

Finally joined uk one, now watching Dexter woot.

I really hope they expand rapidly.

Only two seasons available, one in HD, another in SD.

I'm not amused.

Well I've just changed from the UK to the US version, not sure how long it will last though as I haven't subscribed to an unblock service, I just changed the dns settings.

So much more content on the American one, I shall definitely be keeping my subscription. Been watching films all night!

The unblock us, im assuming it's just a dns thing?

Reason why im asking is, i can't get netflix from my computer running, but no worries as my tv has the app and it runs great.

So im kinda hoping it'll do the same thing with the tv.

Anyone?

I've started to watch Dexter, shame theres only 2 seasons on there though. Wonder if they will get the rest? I can't find the blu rays for sale anywhere excpet the US version.

Since my unblock trial ended my Apple TV 2 constantly reboots if I try to access Netflix US so it seems they must have some method of identifying you.

Also you cant just add another e-mail address to get another free 7 days.

Using American on is pointless, it doesn't have enough extra content to justify double the price, as you have to pay for a VPN and they aren't a few penny's a month.

I cancelled American one before uk. Erosion ebpveryone came out, due to the cost. I'm now on uk and will keep it for the time being. All depends how fast I get through what I want to watch and how fast they bring new titles in.

It's not really double the price, $5 will probably be around £3.30 when paying via PayPal.

Annual subscription costs $50 so that's around £32.50 or so which works out at £2.70/month.

Anyway, the DNS settings work on my Xbox so I'm gonna live the subscription on for as long as it lasts.

Xbox Gold costs £2.50/month (£30/year) but there are enough features to warrant that little extra IMO.

My choice comes down to watching Netflix US through Xbox on my TV or getting the subscription and access only on my PC since I don't normally subscribe to Xbox Live Gold.
