We are constantly working to improve the quality and selection on LOVEFiLM Instant. There will be some big changes over the coming months as we integrate fully with Amazon.

Is all I do change the DNS on my xbox to access the US netflix?

Signed up for free trial and tbh probably gonna pay for it come the end of trial.

EDIT: Done and :eek: so much more choice!!

I didn't want to leave LoveFilm but they just weren't putting enough effort into their streaming service and I hope they now realise that streaming is the future. I'd switch back to LoveFilm if the following features were implemented:

-Not just better quality for visuals, but for sound as well. 5.1 surround is a must and really is what makes Netflix shine imo. If this can't be achieved though then at least offer stereo so Pro Logic II compatible receivers can boost it to a surround mode. Currently, the audio quality is truly dire.

-Allow for far more devices to be used for streaming. This is, again, where Netflix has LoveFilm completely beat. I've activated it on 5 devices and there is no issue. With LoveFilm, I was being told I'd used up my slots by 3. Also, why lock it to a particular PSN account?


If Amazon integration means far more content, I'd consider returning (assuming both points above were covered). For now though, Netflix is the only viable streaming service.

problem is how long can they last without isp's throwing a hissy fit like bt do most evenings of late and conections going hell.

bt suggested last year a two tier system where you pay more for less lag and a better peak time conection. so services like netflix and lovefilm will just get them trying even more idioitic ideas to fleece us all.

Or you mean pay what we use and not expect unlimited fast Internet with future upgrades for 5-10 a month. These cheap ISPs have a lot to answer for.
 
Just watching Arrested Development having heard it was meant to be good. Does it get any better? I've watched 5 episodes so far and its not really floating my boat. Don't really want to keep watching if it doesn't improve.
 
I signed up to the trial yesterday, and after using BBC iPlayer/4OD I was sceptical about streaming services. I have to say I'm quite impressed so far, the picture quality is decent (on the medium/SD setting).

I'd sign up for it without hesitation if it wasn't for my dreadful 'broadband' speeds, unfortunately I can't stream in HD so Sky will win out for the time being.

if only i got what i pay for, bt for now have me over a barrel as i on a market 1 exchange, so £27 a month for up to 8meg dsl (actual speed less than half).

id love to jump to a fiber to the cabinet service and pay £20 a month but thats at least 2 years away if not more.

Best comedy ever made, but if you don't like it after 5-6 episodes in, I don't think watching a few more episodes will make much of a difference.
What is it you find lacking in the show ?? Or is it the type of humour in the show that you don't like.

I just don't find it particularly funny, I think I've hyped it up a bit in my own head so its just a little disappointing. I'm enjoying it I guess but I just feel like I'm forcing myself to watch it.

I found the quality to be pretty decent for the HD streams, didn't try any of the SD shows so wouldn't know, but make sure the HD option is selected.

Yeah I already use HD on Netflix, I was asking redeye_uk if Lovefilm have plans for higher quality streams, I should have made it clear :D. Thanks for the answer redeye_uk :)
