Netflix is now in the UK

Could this be how we get the Kindle Fire.

;)

Yeah I already use HD on Netflix, I was asking redeye_uk if Lovefilm have plans for higher quality streams, I should have made it clear :D. Thanks for the answer redeye_uk :)

No problem. We are constantly improving our encoding and range of exclusive content. That said, its just a sad fact that no company can afford to pay for streaming rights to all movies in HD (im sure you can guess why).

Trust me though, we have some really exciting things in the pipeline we can't wait to announce, but I can't give specifics.

Personally i think Netflix won't be able to compete, but then im bound to say that aren't i!

Ok I'm using the Dns settings but I'm a bit worried that Netflix are gonna bust through my windows and beat me down. Am I being silly. And what about the Dns guys. Are they likely to bust my chops up? :-(

anyone had any issues with out of sync sound tracks on netflix, i seem to get it more on dts sound tracks which is rather annoying :/

yes, hollywood dreaming of dvd/bluray sales. got to love living in a false economy.

It's not just about sales, as I've already said once in this thread.

There also exists the rental market for new releases, which includes the likes of Sky Box Office, Xbox Zune Rentals, iTunes and many others. This model has existed for a long time as a way to rent the new releases and is a revenue stream the Studios don't want to change and give up. This is why the streaming services will never have the latest releases on them.

If you want to see a new release you either buy it or rent it, otherwise you will be waiting a while for the streaming release once it's past the stage where it's not generating much rental profit anymore and the service you use has struck a deal with the Studio.

Is anyone paying for the unblock us account yet? Tempted because the catalogue is soo much better than the UK (for now).

I might sign up to and pay for unblock us to use on my xbox and ps3 in the bed room.

Redeye, any news on the ongoing LF dispute with Universal. It's been a massive annoyance, and to be frank, would be the only real reason I'd cancel my long-running LF account.

Just paid for my first month since the trial ended today. I'd tried Lovefilm previously but found their catalogue to be lacking in stuff I'd watch, Netflix suits me more plus I do like the option to stream in HD.

Omg they just added Senna on the us site.
I really need to see that movie!
