Netflix is now in the UK

Wow been looking through Canadian one, as well as an extra season of dexta, they have loads of other stuff.

Snatch, cube, law abiding citizens to name but a few.

Ok, Netflix is great on the PC, can also access the US site and there is loads to choose from but it's a joke on the Wii, it only selects 75 movies from each category and you have no choice of what these are.

I've tried accessing through my Internet@TV function on my Samsung BD-C5500 player but there is no bloody netflix app, there is Lovefilm and some other on demand movie apps but no netflix!

Is there no browse by genre on wii?

Pc only displays about 75films on the main screen. Even using browse by genre does not show you the entire list. You really have to use the search function.
And the rate/not interested button on as many films as possible.

It gives you 75 movies per genre on the Wii, i've tried searching on the Wii for movies I can see on the PC and they don't come up.

For example, my missus really wanted to watch Requiem for a Dream last night and I told her we could as i'd seen it on the netflix site when browsing my PC. We searched on the Wii and it's not there.

I've rated over 500 movies over the last 48 hours and the Wii still shows the exact same 75 movies in each genre, it's as though the two aren't linked apart from the actual membership itself.

Really good service, but they don't even have half the films I want to watch, I would've thought they'd have a better line up than this on launch.

think I'm going to wait i out and bit and see when more films get added.

It works better if when using Stealthy you choose your film/tv show wait for it to initially load then deactivate Stealthy.

Might just be in my head but it does not lag as much and gives better quality.

I've cancelled my netflix. I've always said I'd pay for these services if they provided a good service with a full catalog of everything. Unfortunately, that isn't the case and I'll await until the dictators in hollywood sort themselves as I'm not paying for a service that only has a bit of this and a bit of that.

For example, no shows, only 3 out of 6 seasons of a show. It's like, really?

Star Trek series gone from US Netflix, can anyone confirm if they're available in in the UK or Canada Netflix catalogues?

Can't see it on either. Films are on there but not series.

Incredible value, watched so many hours for £6. Wish they offered like a £20 version with a much expanded library and lot more modern, hot from the cinema type stuff.

No wonder tv producers are getting scared and pulling series :(.

Just hope Netflix buy more and more rights.

And for a service like that it'll be like £50 a month and you'll then say its to expensive.

It's incredible value for money.

Torrents are even better value you for money and I have full access to anything, I can even stream now instead of downloading, therefore its a better service using the new P2P streaming service.

Until dictators in hollywood wake up and smell the coffee that it's service people are after, they won't get a penny out of me. I tried the netflix trial but it just isn't good enough compared to a torrenting service.

And those with faster connections will use newsgroups, however i'm not sure if you can stream via those?

They'll never get a penny out of you, so why pretend.

Whats with the animosity?

I will happily pay for a service that is being provided and doesn't ninja remove series from the catalog, it doesn't stop people from watching it when they want and doesn't only show half a series. Same can be said for Onlive for games and Spotify for music. It isn't the service providers fault, it's the dictators behind the media.

When the day comes that streaming services offer better alternative to torrents, that is when I will switch and pay and use that service. For me, it's not about who gets money or not, it's about the service and well, if torrents are a better service. I'd be the fool not to use it.

It's not animosity, it's reality.

You'll never get a service as good as free, so it will never meet your idealistic requirements.
It cant offer more than current piracy. Streaming and files in had for free.

I believe that's called piracy and we all know that you wouldn't download a car, etc.

Seriously though, what kind of argument is that if you can steal virtually any copyrighted IP?

With Netflix you pay for the catalogue they offer and you get your money's worth.

If their catalogue doesn't appeal to you then you can take your business elsewhere (i.e. nowhere as nobody offers a comparable service atm).
