Netflix is now in the UK

But that's US, can you watch those over here?

Can you even subscribe to the US one as a UK resident?

It's one subscription that gives you the Netflix region dependant on where you're located. Most of us viewing the US version seem to be using unblock.us to gain access.

Yup, you just change the DNS settings on either your PC, X360, PS3, Wii, etc...then reload and you'll have the US version.

You don't even need the Unblock US tool if you know how to alter your DNS settings.

Been using the service for a few days now, quality is ok most of the time but one thing that is driving me nuts is the PS3 browser for it, it sucks and sucks big time. Only shows a maximum of 75 titles for each category so it would appear, no option to say 'hide this, I'm not interested', spent fifteen minutes on the pc rating stuff yesterday and now all it's showing me is stuff I have absolutely no interest in watching, action films in utterly full of kids movies?!?! I've watched the first five episodes of Breaking Bad and I'm still having to search for it because it just wont show on the main screen.

Breaking Bad for me appears at the top where it says Most Recently Used.. and that's when I use the US or the UK DNS settings.

The 75 film limit does suck, which is exactly the same suckyness that Lovefilm did too. I just don't understand why it can't list every film.

Same problem with Wii...75 titles per category, making me think about cancelling as it won't work on my Samsung Bluray player and i'm not watching all my stuff on the PC.

The quality when it reaches HD is more than adequate for a streaming service as far as i'm concerned! Been catching up with the US Office, it looks great in HD on my TV through the 360 :)

I am on a months free trial at the moment but not sure what to make of it.

The streaming seems hit and miss. I can watch a movie and the quality will go up and down like a yoyo. I thought this might be a bandwith issue but the film is buffered up quite a bit.

Selection is pretty poor as well.

That is bandwidth issue then.

I might look into this... I'm currently going through a phase of Lovefilm/Blockbuster trials, so might try Netflix. I must say though, I think I'd rather pay the extra £2-4 or whatever it is a month for the ability to rent physical copies... The Blockbuster service for getting DVDs out to you is absolutely fantastic. Pretty much 2 films in 3 days if you want. That's on top of being able to stream stuff anyway...
