No. It's his child at the end of the day, who he is allowing to play a video game.
I have noticed a lot of parents who tell their children it is unacceptable to play games where you shoot each other, and think it's perfectly ok to sit down in front of Eastenders with the same child and watch a group of grown adults shouting at and threatening each other.
