Seems like there is another patch.

Run the updater and now 1.02.809 is out :) different to the 1.02 patch they released earlier this week (which was 1.02.808).

keep em coming :D

Still waitin for an FM07 patch to make the game playable, take note SI.

I cant believe they let solo/party mode out....where you could switch modes so that your thief could cloak lay a couple traps then join party again....bloody annoying actually

You can tell the party to stay where you are while you scout off ahead via the broadcast menu...

Afew tips guys if you want to make the best of your toon you going to have to plan out your lvls. DnD games is all about char building. You can make yout oon anyway you want. A good explame of this is a tanking monk or a pure dmg monk streght or dex.

If you like the game reading up on dnd rulesset is awsome and even makes the game more involing

Can't emphasise BigPig's comments enough (albeit with better spelling :p)

The D'n'D ruleset is one of the most developed and rounded out there; however to get the best character for you out of it you really do need to think about what you want to achieve. Every character is strong provided you play to its strengths and think right at the start of character setup about the abilities it gains later on and take these into consideration in your skills balance.

My general preference has been towards a tanking monk, trusting in my compatriots to do the awe-inspiring damage whilst I suck it all up; or in reality my focus is actually on dodging taking advantage of the various monk feats like missile dodging.

Something else to consider, is Prestige Classes which can devastating. In NWN I had a wicked character who attained Red Dragon Disciple prestige class.

Really getting into it now after the gfx tweaks suggested, like a whole different game.

Problem, dont like my character, went in as a plain fighter, and want to re-roll my levels, guess the only way is to start again?

Still cant change the camera movement with the arrows, it still goes the wrong way. Tried both boxes in the menu when not in the game, neither inverts the way it rolls.

Lastly, for times sake, and to make sure i never missed anything i always pressed 'tab' when entering a new area and objects you can do summit with lit up green, this isnt the case anymore, is it another button that am missing?

Ta.

Did the same with my level 11 Warlock, started again as a wizard - was utterly bored with the Warlock.

hold the 'Z' key.

What is the best character build for this game, after 4-5 years of NWN i still am rubbish at it!

Nope. Bring up the context menu away from any target, then Broadcast command - then 'Stand your ground'

okay the graphics are about 6 out of 10 and the annoying ai is ******...
but I do like the 'feel' of the game

Erm, what? You say "arteri no nothing" just because they based the class on a generalisation instead of using one character as a base? Can't you look past that?

Man are you picky (in a bad spelling sort of way)...

The class is evil in D&D 3.5 books and that's where the developers have taken the class rules from, with a few tweaks on feats like Dodge to make things easier to control.

I'm so glad they haven't been pulled in by the Drizzt (or other D&D novel character) effect.

I get the same problem on my 1800xt

Question for you.

My characters became diseased when in the graveyard, I have cured the disease but my characters remain with dex and con moodifiers, both have been reduced to zero.

I have tried cures, resting and a few other potions but nothing seems to recover these points. The NPCs have managed to get the points back by "dying" and recovering, at which point they are totally back to normal. Meanwhile my drow fighter is fighting on some maps later with 0 dex and con :(

Anyone got an idea? Otherwise I will have to arrange a fight I die in but the NPcs win

I have a 1900xt and get the 'bubble with grid', but not the stipply pattern over the lower half of qara and on the character's face in the background. I'm running Catalyst 6.10
