Well, having bashed it at the start.....I've now played it for a few hours (with the missus in co-op) and found there is a fairly solid RPG hiding in there after all

Got the graphics looking OK and the performance running quite smooth - turning water reflection off seemed to double my fps

Some things I don't like tho:
I hate it that when (in co-op) one person is talking to a character the other person can't do a single darn thing. Nothing. Can't run around, look in their inventory, map....anything. Just have to sit there and read all the waffle, and my god is there waffle. I like RPG's where the dialog appears over the characters head and you can read it while running around doing other stuff.
The "dramatic" fighting music carries on....and on...after the fight is over, often cutting into dialog. Silly.
Some of the voice acting is dull at best, sometimes just corny.
Lack of player freedom. Horrid world map teleports and the inability to roam anywhere you want makes it feel very old-tech.
The camera still sucks, although I think I've tweaked it to the point where it's bearable.
Still, enjoyable RPG romp all the same. If only they could combine the D&D gameplay of NWN with the presentation and player freedom of Oblivion
