New 3 Sim only pricing

i think all three plans allow tethering.

Not even close, it's an add on for most and even then it's separate to your data allowance. With a GB or two. It's the one plan (only certain one plans) that have unlimited data and tethering.

Will be interesting to see the ins and outs when the website is updated.

I've never understood why they shave something called the one plan, yet is massively different.

£20 12 month sim only 2GB no tethering
£25 one month sim only all you can eat data with tethering.

Both called the one plan, makes no sense.

I get everything I need on PAYG for 15 without the contract

300 Mins, 3000 texts and unlimited data

I'll be deffo going for the one plan on a 12 month contract. Can't really go wrong with that. Unlimited data and tethering..!!!

With 4G to be rolled out by end if this year, looking good.

Already with Thee paying £12.90 1 moth rolling contract. Will have to ring up sometime this week.

Sim only? If so one plan 12month is not unlimited data.(ATM, they also different in tethering)

Although it does say that the new 12month one plan is unlimited, just need to wait on tethering details.

-From July 1st Three's "One Plan" Sim only will be reducing from £25pm to £15pm on a 12 month agreement and £18pm on a 1 month agreement.
-This plan is unique as it is the only sim only plan to include unlimited data and tethering with no fair use policy or speed caps.
-Three use a DC-HSPA+ capable network with 98% coverage with speeds of up to 42mbps making it the best network for data in the UK.
-Three will be providing free access to their 4G LTE network from November on this plan and other plans which is a steal. EE4G want £21pm for 500mb yet Three are doing unlimited data and tethering on 4G for £15pm... bargain!
-This deal will be available in store and online from July 1st. Available via retentions today.
-Quidco & TCB will update on July 3rd/4th with new cashback values.

Well it's wrong as its not £25 currently, it's £20
And doesn't say anything about tethering.
Currently the two one plans are very different despite sharing the same name.

Hey guys, I posted this in the HUKD thread about this 3 deal but didn't get a response. Hoping to take this out in the next few days and benefit from some cashback when it goes on TCB.

"I am considering taking out the 1 month rolling contract from tomorrow primarily for the AYCE tethering and free upgrade to 4G in the future. Currently I have a good deal with Virgin and am going to hold onto it for now. If the reception turns out to be good enough for me to want to stay with 3, I may then move over lock, stock and barrell in a few months. I travel all over the UK so hence wanting to be sure about the reception in different areas but my main question really is:

If I decide to cancel Virgin in a few months and request my PAC, can I then apply it to my 3 account that will already have been active for some time? I have had the number for years and don't want to change it."

Would appreciate feedback. :)

Ive tethered on my Iphone without the tethering addon or paying for the one plan (Just on the pay as you go and pay £15 a month for the mins / data /text's) never been complained too.

Granted i havnet used it LOADS but if its occasional doubt you will have any problems.

Popped into my local store yesterday, as expected they aren't upgrading existing 12 month contracts. Doesn't bother me as I'll be paying only £12 more over the next year for what is essentially the same thing (will use literally around 600 minutes a month at most, and am able to tether fine for those occasional times I need it).

Great. I'd go for a 12 month sim only, £50 sounds reasonable. Great plans really. Do Three still have fallback to o2/Orange these days? I cannot imagine there being any Three cell coverage for miles around here. I was last a subscriber to Three around 7-8 years ago, where the phone would usually sit on a fallback network.

I may be wrong but I believe three can still fall back onto orange for voice only (this may be wrong though). If you have no three coverage though you have no mobile data.

While it does make sense that people locked in to 12 months aren't given the price it does amuse me that when it comes to increasing prices the networks are very quick to do so during the contract but no so much when it comes to a reduction. I know they're a business and not a charity but still :p

In certain areas where 3G coverage is known to be poor, Three can fallback to Orange/T-Mobile (EE) 2G. It used to be available everywhere but now Three feel their 3G network is strong enough to not require the fallback in most areas (rightfully so). You'll generally find that 2G is available in some rural areas, though as you stated, no data. Some feel this is unacceptable, however I've found that in 2G areas on O2, data was so slow that it was essentially like not having data access (and in some of these same areas, Three would get full signal on 3G).

Not sure why there has been so much debate and confusion with the £15 plan. It's the One Plan, so it has tethering included (confirmed in store).

I've taken out the £15 one plan deal and the operator said tethering is included in it.

Yup i've just taken out the £15 One plan. Got the operator to confirm that tethering was included, a few times.

Received a text of confirmation that i've upgraded to the new sim only deal.

Got 1 month £15 bill credit, so free for the first month. Can't go wrong.

:)

Usually with bill credits, the 3rd month is the one it applies to, but even so, £15 off a 12 month £15 contract is pretty nice.

I have just had to buy two £15 Sim cards (sealed) with the 3-2-1 tariff due to buying a couple of phones from them. Looks good but not for us and so I'll have to sell them on, somehow.

Anyone know what the new TCB/Quidco values will be? If I buy now will current values be honoured? I can only see them going down.
