New 4K TV

I saw all those Panasonic models listed above and couldn't find mine in the league!

I have a TXP50G20BA. Where does that fit in the league? I think it's great btw for HD, but for some reason PC HDMI output isn't as sharp as I would like.

Ive got one good eye .. and I tell differences in PQ easily from 6ft , so don't give me this 20/20 crap . 720p to 1080p can be seen by most people I know. But I will admit , having owned plasma, those babies are REALLY good :)

KDL50W829

is about £600 online i think here is a review

look at reviews on hdtvtest and avforums if your wanting the best reviews on tv's don't bother looking at what tv, etc.

i'm not clued up on all the latest models so maybe worth asking this question on avforums itself.

have the 55 Sony w8 in my bedroom and its almost on par with my Samsung 4k tv in the living room. I would not buy Samsung having major issues with them at the moment they cannot be trusted they lie, i have telephone recordings of there promises and they break there word, Sony and Panasonic have been good to me.

really can it be seen by most people?

most cannot tell the difference between SD and HD.

i would be surprised if most can tell the difference between broadcast HD (which isn't 1080p) and a blu ray.

this is why netflix is so popular and buying blu rays isn't.

most people don't know anything about quality or they simply do not care.

a year later and my tv is worth £525 apparently so it was deffo worth more than £500 a year ago.

people are willing to pay stupid money for the top end plasmas due to their PQ.

This thread is from a year ago
sod all has changed since then, the only thing i've seen recently after a whole year is:-

an OLED set up correctly :D:D

as for my Panny ST55 ?.....................i'll sell that for £300, just for a quick sale, i'm not too bothered
