Those benchmarks are interesting why without aa is the 3870 slower than a 2900 but when aa is added it is a bit faster have they done something with aa as its also faster than a gt in 2 out of 3 tests with aa enabled.

GPUZ will just take the device ID so either the program has the wrong information or that is the actual ROP amount.

I think so. Seems unlikely it has 24 ROP's given the other 8 series desktop chips has 4 ROP's per 64bit memory channel.

LOl does it really matter though? Rather have a good cooler over a good looking one. having said that they probably could have made it nicer just wern't bothered. Perhaps it would ahve cost more? either way i dont really care lol.

I do care about the way they look, obviously if a card was the best performer yet looked a dog I would not decide against buying it based on its looks, they could have at least used the old GTS cooler, perhaps changed the colour of it to green or red or something.
