New Alienware Q3 2020

Mine took 4 days. It is coming from abroad after all. The tracking updates can be all over the place. It can stall and look like its not moved and then next day it updates and its gone through about 3 countries the day before and suddenly out for delivery that morning!

Just put my AW3821DW up for sale on the MM. I'm finding it too big for my setup. Open to offers :) Sensible ones.

Well, it would have to be significantly reduced in price over new, as with all the easy to obtain discounts readily available, it can be had for much less than RRP or their "offer price".
This is a used item, which cannot be returned by the buyer on the MM cause outside of returns window, i would suggest no more than £850 in this circumstance, any more than that and you might as well buy new direct from DELL.

I suspect you are right, everybody I know who bought one from dell got it for £1040.

Indeed.

Can be a tough pill to swallow, but sorry to be harsh, but this is what product item pages are for, 10 seconds on google tells me the dimensions of this unit, with and without stand, a further few mins of effort and I could cut out something of the same size and put it at my desired distance to see how suitable it is. I certainly would if I was buying a £600 monitor, let alone a £1200 one...

Thanks for the input, really appreciated. To be honest the best way is to actually use it, if I don't get a reasonable amount for it i'll keep it, it's no real issue.

As I already have the 34" version of this monitor I didn't think the extra 4" would be that much different but there you go. No drama.

I find it quite odd that you have a 34 inch version and somehow the 38 is just too big, surely you would have felt at your limit already then with the 34?, and also, rather bizarre that it took over a month to come to that conclusion, from “actually using it” as you say..

What exactly is a reasonable amount?, because that might be excessive in the buyers eyes given the pricing new..

@Sgt_Major, please do not worry yourself any more regarding my purchasing decisions, it is clearly concerning you more than it is me and I do not want that to be the case.
I came here to say mine is going up for sale on the MM that was all. There is nothing bizarre about my decision taking a month, maybe I didn't actually use it straight away? Maybe I had other more important things to do than set a monitor up during those 4 weeks.

The reasonable amount will be the amount I will choose to accept should an offer be made to me that I feel is reasonable.
But yes your right, that might be excessive in the eyes of the buyer given the price when new

I was looking at the Agon 353. Reports are that the fan is crazy on this (similar to the equivalent 200hz 35" panels like the Asus and Acer.

JF - I thought you were happy with the LG?

The fan is very quiet in the Asus one (my PG35VQ is setup in my bedroom)

With that AOC one being so cheap if it was me I would take a chance at changing the fan in it :D
