New build need help

Basically, removes some of the non essential TV crap to help speed up image processing/reduce input lag. It should help considerably from a token read.

Do you mean - 'if I use that resolution/4k'?

At 4K, your FPS will take a massive hit compared to 1080p - but worth a play depending on game (play with settings - reduce textures, no AA etc). But for competitive first person games i would drop to 1080p.

Over the 1440p?

You'll get higher more consistent FPS - but the picture wont be as sharp, especially when using the monitor at desktop/work station (you'll see the pixels) - or even on some slower paced games (strategy). This isn't such an issue in games (in fact you wouldn't notice in frenetic gameplay) - but would, personally, irritate me for work - but then i don't game much.

That said - you've built a system that's primed for 1440p - and will still keep a steady, high FPS at that resolution, with a crisp resolution better suited to a 27" panel (personally).

Recommend you look in store at samples...

Will get a look thank you mate

I'm
Looking at pics - where is the case fan fitted?

Ideally one fan extracting/venting at the back (behind CPU - this too orientated/venting towards rear of case stock cooler) and your other fan in-taking air from the front.

e.g. look at below pic for example - front and rear fan (ignore the top fans):

Sorry only seeing your reply. The pre installed fan is at the front, so install it at the rear then?

Alll sorted now, I've got the hdmi and display cable into graphics card that's correct!?

Thanks for everyone's help.. First build ever done :) top service all round

Motherboard chipset/lan/audio drivers direct from MSI (personally, i would avoid the utility drivers) and latest GFX drivers from AMD. Assuming you got the MSI board and 5700XT.

Presuming you installed MAY update of Windows 10 so 1903 update already installed (allow critical updates only).

Thanks mate. Appreciate everyone's help :)

@tamzzy - tns's thread - similar issue - both have same PSU and same GPU 5700XT (although odd symptom - prefer memory or driver issue [perhaps BIOS, some odd issues out there with 450/zen 2])

@Kevin Matthews - how smooth was your install process - did you experience any BSODs before this?

Everything was going great, no problems with installation was running fine. Removed programs and could be driver issue. As a game i downloaded on steam cause the crash originally.
