New build need help

Unfortunately, we need a couple of good gaming sessions under your belt to see if the drop in memory speed has helped.

I would wait for the next BIOS update, rather than rolling back - we're in search of stability we'll ignore irritating noises for now (if you can live with that).

What mouse are you using?

Yeah ill wait, and the mouse and keyboard bundle that was suggested was out of stock at the time so just amazon finest rgb lol will order new one next week.

Yeah noises i can live with, just maybe invest pair headphones. Just strange that makes it while scrolling and hovering on taskbar programs and chrome.. Never had it with previous bios. So bit clueless.

Possibly - but the way his luck is going he could be suffering from electrical interference too (wouldn't even rule out demonic possession.).

What USB ports are you using?

Just the ports at back of the case but have tried them all.. No different, i went and bought a normal kettle plug as the psu never came with one for UK

Last night i gamed temp was rising to near 88c and fans going ninety with a real bad coil whine.

Today did bit research, changed PCEI to Gen 3 in bios as seen on reddit. Also i enable frame rate target control to about 140 FPS. Ran game for 15mins temps didn't move once and also very little coil whine.

GPU Util only 5% instead of 99%

Nice - use and abuse for next few days - bump up memory when you've done a few hours testing with zero issues.

Have you tried any other games apart from that poorly optimised piece of ....? :D

I will indeed, no none at all. Well football manager haha.. You recommend any decent goos optimization games lol

Yeah, every chance given the speed in which they're chucking them out.

@Kevin Matthews - is yours the card with coil whine? If so you have a valid reason for return if you wanted to try this (although TNS manage to swap his out with zero issues - @tamzzy? - not sure they even questioned it?)

@Kevin Matthews - don't suppose you have a spare GPU and also could you drop your memory to 2993MHz and run this for a couple of days while you decide. And keep an eye out for BIOS/Driver updates...

What should I increase my ram too from 2994mhz just to test.

Hey guys, I seem to be having some artifact issues like white snow drops in couple games and pink tearing. Have decreased the memory back down there now. Only noticed it when bought couple games lol

@tamzzy was talking about the onboard GPU memory (VRAM) as from what you describe it reads like you have a graphics card issue (totally unrelated to your system memory).

Have you clocked the card or is it running at stock?

You could dial back the cards"s memory to verify that this is the problem and if you were on stock settings you would be looking at RMAing the card.

It started at stock, then tried undervolting to try to fix the snow drop and pink colour issues . how I go about RMA the card must contact customer service?

Post in the Component Technical Support Forum within the Customer Services Forum - explaining your problem and they should start up an RMA request very quickly as the evidence is indicative of a faulty GPU if it's happening at stock settings too.

I've contact the customer service they say they have to send it off to manufacturing. Take up to 30 days

Yeah, seems like it to me

Would a manual undervolt cause it? Originally open fishing stimulator and seen white snow in sky, so they recommended UV it. Maybe I went to low? But haven't seen it since just the once. Anyway you could test memory or vram or anything? Before I send card long wait with out a computer lol

Hi Guys, just ordered the Nitro+ SE gonna replace my reference card, should it be a straight forward swap installing into my build? Coil whine is too annoying on my reference. Great hear back thanks
