New car collected!

be interesting to see what you think of it. I got the same in red a couple of weeks ago with the manual box rather than DSG.

I already rate the Seat Leon FR very highly, I had one as my first car on this scheme (first post in this thread). I decided this time round to try the TDI, which I expect to drive just as well as the TFSI.

You'll be in something costing you tree fiddy a month before you know it.

Ha! I think the most expensive car on the list this time round was:

New TT Coupe 2.0 TFSI quattro S line 230 S tronic @ £184 month.

My brother managed to sweet talk someone in the department to get my parents a 3.0 TDI V6 Touareg for their next car which is about £240/month.

Collection of the Leon was this morning, and it was a nervous wait while they inspected the A1. Took 3 guys round the front of the car to decide that the bonnet needs a respray. Too many deep stone chips which failed their criteria. Not good, so got stung with a bill along side some other bits including the kerbed alloy which they included in the 1 free smart repair. £153 for the bonnet respray isn't too bad I think?

Some pics.

I've never had a company car not PCP/lease type affair.

I think that stonechips being held against you is ridiculous is this common?

Only if it's deemed 'excessive' and they are deep which they were in this case. They joked saying it was probably due to 'Audi' driving alluding to me driving up people's backsides. This obviously wasn't the reason as I drove this car in the same way as I did my green Leon which didn't fail on stone chips.

Just a quick Question

If you have the list near ish by, was the Touran TDi on there? I'm looking at that through the scheme with my step mum but haven't got a price yet?

Never seen a Touran on the list in the 3 times I've had it over the past year.

So I was told sometime back that my 1st and 2nd choice didn't go through, and was under the impression I would get a further list of cars they can order short notice for delivery in October. That didn't happen, so my brother sent a few emails and put in my requirements for the next car. They had a look at and came up with the following:

Model: Passat Saloon SE Business 2.0 TDI 150PS 6-Speed DSG 4-door
Exterior Colour: Deep Black pearlescent
Total RRP: £26755
Cost: £138/month.

So looks like I came out of this with the Passat after all, albeit a less spec and slower engine. Overall though it should be a great car to have from October as our first baby is due then.

I'm enjoying the current Leon for the same reason I liked my first one, however I don't like 2.0TDI as much as the 1.8TFSI. Get my next list at the start of October for my next car in April.

Passat looks good in black but it will be a pain to keep clean over winter.

Thanks :)

What I'll get next depends entirely on what's on the list at the beginning of October. I may go for a A4 avant if they have one.

and here it is, first few snap shots.

Number plate is amusing aww :p

Just waiting for the new list to pick my next car for April 2016. Shame I didn't get the 190ps R-Line Passat I had originally speced...

Yea it's a good car for when the baby arrives in 3-4 weeks.

I'm going to test apple car play later, been itching to try it out.

OK so got the list for April 2016, and narrowed it down to the below. Need to pick 1st and 2nd choice as usual. I'm leaning towards the Supberb as 1st and the TFSI A4 or the Octavia as 2nd - can't ignore the value of the VRs though.

Audi New A4 Saloon 2.0 TFSI quattro Sport 252ps 7-speed £182/month
Superb Hatch L&K 2.0 TSI 280PS 4x4 DSG £178/month
Audi New A4 Saloon 2.0 TDI quattro Sport 190 7-speed £174/month
Skoda Octavia Hatch vRS 2.0 TSI CR 220PS DSG £131/month

:D

So I've submitted my list. Having weighed up the various cars, I've decided I'd would like an Octavia for 1st and 2nd choice (estate). The price was a big deciding factor, as I won't see the added benefit of spending an extra £50/month for the more expensive cars. With baby due imminently I need to keep a reign on things.

1. Octavia Hatch vRS 2.0 TSI CR 220PS DSG £131/month
a. Race Blue metallic
b. Moon White metallic

2. Octavia Estate vRS 2.0 TSI 220PS DSG £137/month
a. Race Blue metallic
b. Moon White metallic

It's not really a lease company. It's direct from VW, and the cost is calculated on a discounted RRP.

Looks like I've been unsuccessful with my 1st and 2nd choice...

The email gives some pretty bleak 3rd choices.

Whilst the Brands have increased the number of models available to help reduce the impact, we have ended up with a limited selection of 3rd choice model alternatives for you to select from. Please provide us with the derivative of the below vehicle you would like for a April 2016 handover:

Fabia Hatch SE L 1.4TDi (please specify the colour/additional options you would prefer)
Or
Golf GT/Match (please specify the colour/additional options you would prefer)

My brother is pushing for Golf Estate GT 1.4TSI 150PS DSG, as I need the boot space with the little one. Still frustrating that another boring car to follow the Passat. I do like the financial side of this scheme but I can't help looking at what I would buy if I came off the scheme and the pros/cons.

Indeed, I'd be surprised if a PCP/Lease could beat this scheme. No deposit and 8k per 6 month mileage.

If I left the scheme I'd likely get a bank loan and buy something 2nd hand. I'll have to weigh the options, because I'd like something suitably decent which means spending a fair amount.

It's every 6 months, with a 7,500 mileage allowance.

So I have my car confirmed for April 2016.

Golf Estate GT – 1.4 TSI DSG with Car-Net App
£138/month

In Limestone Grey, should do the trick for 6 months.

Yea 150PS, it was either that or the 2.0TDI 150PS. It was a no brainer. 0-60 in 8.4 is more than enough.
