New car :D

Just catback that is I believe, I'm sure thats linked from Ashleys own site.

It is indeed. :)

Viper came this morning, fitted it in well under 5mins, easy peasy as the C2 stock filter is all clips, no bolts. Need to get a cold air feed asap as at the moment i can feel a loss in power (bought this viper very cheap without the feed) Tried going to halfords today but they only had the tiny weeny one in stock. Apart from that, throttle response seems better, but the biggest difference, the sound.....oooooh the sound.

So apart from the sound what exactly is the point? Are you planning on installing a bonnet window so that the mod can be seen?

I bought the induction kit very cheap off ebay, compared to new anyway (£120 off new price) but it didn't come with a cold air feed. So it was sucking in extremely hot air off the manifold/rad (loss in power but glorious sound). I eventually got round to getting a cold air feed fitted, it arrived today in fact, which means no more nice sound, but there's a noticeable difference in performance now its sucking in cold air from outside.

Should have left it standard tbh.

Why? Just like any other car enthusiast, i want to get the best performance I can from my car. Its sad that when ever someone modifies a small hatchback like this, they automatically get labelled a chav.

I fail to see why the OP is getting slated for fitting an induction kit? He's hardly fitted a body kit and 20" spinners. Each to their own I say.

Sounds good - that ally inlet gives a good noise. FWIW, I'd keep the wheels how they are. I find darker wheels is one of those things, you have them done, then kinda long for the standard look again.

As I said before, it was quite a nice tidy little car - a decent little alternative to a fiesta for popping to the shops in.

But it ain't a performance car, it's not an enthusiasts car, so I really don't see the point on making it sound like a wet fart in the pursuit of 1.5bhp.

Because you're trying to get "performance" from a shopping trolley?

Well hopefully, on a sunny day, in the not to distant future, we can once again come together and rejoice over my next new car, and hopefully then, i will finally have a purchase worthy enough for you.

Until then, this is my car, so get over it.
