New car misting windows

I’ve recently brought an X-type and for the life of me I cannot stop the front window from misting/steaming up.
Firstly I used window cleaner. I then used some special anti mist formula which still did absolutely nothing.
The only thing that clears is it to constantly drive round with the A/C on, which I don’t really want to do for various reasons.
Any suggestions? Could it be a damn pollen filter or something?
 
Firstly...BOUGHT!!!!

The misting up will be moisture in the car, this is a rubbish time of year for trying to dry it out though, do you have a garage which you could heat and leave the car in with its doors/windows open?
 
Do you have the air always set to re-circulate by any chance? That causes misting very quickly in damp weather if the air con is switched off. Otherwise you probably have blocked drains on the aircon evaporator and it's full of water.
 
My previous mondeo had problems misting up, but i never turned the air con off, so didnt no if that helped, however the passenger foot well was soaking, so check for water getting in, door seals, pollen filter maybe, even front window?
 
Try opening the windows for a few mins while driving along - that helped my car get rid of some moisture. Also, a few companies make window polish that has an anti-misting agent in it. I've used this too - helped a lot... Good luck!
 
Put the air con on while having it set to hot, then after a while just turn off the air con and turn down the fan to low with it still hot and it should stay de-misted. Always irritates me on cold mornings

Air con works when your using the heater too, and it removes moisture from the air, so the joke is not on me, have heat coming out of air vents, air con on, no mist on any window.
 
Is it full climate control, or just basic 'air con'..

I say this because a lot of newer climate systems will automatically use re-circ a lot more to maintain heat in the cabin, and for other reasons..

And also Air Conditioning acts as a dehumidifier, and removes moisture from the air, so having it on has more then just a cooling effect..

[edit].. blimey too slow today!..

I've tried the just heater approach and then air-con approach to demisting, air-con is 10 times faster (rule of thumb 10 times that is)..
