Some times there is a setting called load optimised defaults, its one of the quickest way to set the right defaults/settings in the BIOS, you may not need to do it.
To clarify not a problem, dont mean 'Whoah its practilly on fire' just thats higher than id expect to see from a 2500k at idle/low level work....u using real temp or just relying on motherboard software? In the bios?
Yer thanks stulid I have found it. And Jason its in the BIOS, I was just looking into it myself but I think its their software or something. I found this:
Right I am in the boot menu and it has 8 boot devices! It also have three sections for hard drive, dvd drive and UEFI boot drive BBS priorities. So i have disabled everything and have the OCZ hard drive as the 1st boot in hard drive BBS priorities. Then the DVD drive in the DVD BBS priorities.
Then in the main boot order I have DVD and then OCZ. I hope this is right and makes sense?
Right found it under integrated peripherals =/ Anyway changed to AHCI and then its brought up SATA 1-6 Hot Plug saying disabled against all of them. Is this OK?
Also should I change the External SATA 6GB/s Controller mode to AHCI? And the onboard E-SATA controller mode to AHCI?
Does this mean I should have the front panel ESATA connected to a SATA III port? Or is this only the ESATA on the motherboard I/O panel?
Hey guys I am just looking into buying windows 7 now. I was looking at OEM version of 64 bit home premium but this is still about £65 at the cheapest. I was doing some more searching and found this:
Does this actually work? I have found a Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit upgrade version for £35. This is much cheaper but of course I do not already have an OS so was wondering if the above article would work?
I have finally received windows 7 but before I open it I just want to make sure its a legit version. It was not bought from a well known retailer.
It looks perfectly legit says at the top of the packet OEM System Builder Pack. It has the microsoft tape on each end saying if you open then you conform to the terms and conditions. It then has the Microsoft barcode with this description:
WinHomPrem 7 64 - bit EN 1pk DSP OEI DVD.
Does this sound OK? Like I say it looks prefectly genuine, just dont wanna break the seal without knowing.
Should be absolutely fine mate. Assuming it's the £65 OEM you bought and not the £35 upgrade. I got my OEM for £70 so £65 doesn't sound too unrealistic a price to pay and the description you give sounds legit to me.
