[...] you hardly ever see anyone posting 'It's FAB'!!
I've got a H100i, and it's FAB!
Well, nearly: it did have the grinding fans out of the box. One painless firmware update later, and it's out with the grinding, and in with the high-pitched squeal [which isn't loud by any stretch - merely a bit more noticeable than I'd like].
Like others, I'm confident that it's all down to the fans - or more accurately, the interaction between the Link software and the fans. I'm just as confident that Corsair will fix this pretty soon, and so my blood temperature remains tepid.
Performance-wise, I'm more than happy: Prime95ing my i5-3750K at 36C at stock speeds, and just under 50C at a modestly-overclocked 4GHz [stock volts]. That's with the fans in 'Quiet' mode; it's way below the maximum recommended 105C [though you really don't want to get close to that, I'd have thought!]. There's a lot of potential in this cooler, I reckon, anyway.
The only problem I've had with the Link software is that it crashes on shutdown/restart of the PC. This might be a Windows 8 thing, I don't know. Either way, software problem means that it's fixable. In every other aspect - detection, installation - it's been completely fine. Though I do also have an AXi PSU, which may or may not have something to do with it. Maybe Corsair only tested with these PSUs? It seems unlikely. Then again, you'd have thought they'd have tested the fans, too

They are exhausts when set up as shown in all the product pics, yes.
Interestingly, this contradicts the manual, which states that they should be set as intakes. Mind you, the manual also states that the fans have flow direction arrows on them [they don't]. Clearly we can all cross off the Corsair PF1000i Proofreader from our christmas lists
