** NEW CORSAIR LCS OFFERINGS AT OCUK **

I've decided I don't want another H80i. I'm so done with this piece of crap cooler. Corsiar should be ashamed of themselves for releasing this untested product.

I'm going for the NZXT KRAKEN X40 instead. It's being released at the end of the week I hear.

My replacement H100i is working perfect. I have updated the firmware then uninstalled the awful Corsair software and run my fans direct from the motherboard.

No issues with screw mounts and I have swapped out the fans a few times in testing. Only issue for me is the light on mine is a slight off white/blue colour rather than a preferable pure white but hey ho it works...

Mine went back last week, I got a refund and am back on the H100. I wasn't prepared to waste more time on a replacement. It's a shame that they released what appeared to be an untested product.

RMA my H80i and got refund and ordered the Kraken X40. Which should be out any second..

Lets hope I can at least mount the fans. I'm sure it will be fine unlike the H80i. Corsair PSU are great, but their Liquid CPU Cooler is a joke.

Big thanks to Bailey for sorting me out. Thanks again mate:)

Glad to hear you got your H80i sorted out, I also had an RMA honoured for my troubled H80i too and it's gone back today for a refund. However, I have also placed an order for the H100i (new stock is due in tomorrow) to go with my new Corsair C70 which will come with the H100i. Hopefully both components should arrive on Monday :)

Another big thanks to Bailey from me as well for a very fast turnaround :)

Good to hear LEK. I hope you have better luck with your H100i. I wont make the same mistake twice though. I made that mistake with my MSI and had 3 bad MSI GPU's. I still hear about the h100i still having issues. Hope you get a good one this time mate.

After reading up on the Kraken X40 I decided to give the kraken a try. I've been hearing it's a pain free cooler to install. I hope their right.

Good luck mate:)

Thanks mate, good luck with your Kraken X40 too :)

I did read into the Kraken X40/X60's but as they are still not out yet (not long now though) I did not want to wait around until they were released so I opted to go all the way & get a H100i instead. The H80i/H100i both generally suffer from the same issues and I've still got my SP120 fan upgrades which will be going straight on the H100i when it arrives so that will fix the whine issue.

As they are currently out of stock here on OcUK & new stock arrives tomorrow, a new batch of them will arrive from Corsair if I am not mistaken which makes me think that maybe this new batch of them could be better improved ones when comparing to the original ones which were part of the first batch when released? We will see, I may be totally wrong though and the one I get still could be part of the first batch production directly out of the factory.

When you get your H100i let me know how you get on. Hope it's a better batch this time:)

How don't mean to hijack this thread well I suppose I do as I'm writing this!
But do you know what these are like?:http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-002-TL&groupid=701&catid=2330&subcat=2262

I've heard they are based oh the h60,they seem very cheap compared was going to get one of these and use my venom viper fan are they noisy?reliable? Are they loud? What are they like at cooling my CPU currently runs at 32c idle 60-65 gaming on intensive games 42-45 on walking dead.
Fancy something alittle different and that today's my case up abit but don't want it to be loud or run my CPU hotter.
I currently run a xiatamex red scorpion CPU cooler with my venom viper fan.
Any help I'd much appreciated thanks.
Don't wanna just jump in and regret it.
Oh I'm running a i5 [email protected]

Hey Liam.

I had to cancel my Kraken x40 order because the fans on the radiator are 140mm and my case only does 120mm. So I had to order the H80i again, but was told their new stock. Hope the fans mount and all the issues are fixed on this new batch?

I'll report back either way.

Crosses fingers:)

I got the Corsair H100i on release, yes the fans did make a grinding noise, the Firmware and software upgrade it did stop the grinding, but a I got slight high pitch whine.

Put on 2 SP120’s the H100i is working like a dream+ I would say the temps are few degrees lower than the stock fans, shame Corsair just didn’t put in 2 SP120’s in the box:D:D:D

Hey mate - sorry to hear that you had to cancel your Kraken X40 due to the incompatibility! :( It's a bit of a let down when these new attractive coolers are incompatible with some cases. Well it look like that I will not be getting my H100i until after Monday now as it appears that new stock has not arrived at OcUK today :( Ahh well, I'm sure it will be worth the wait for when it arrives! I will let you guys know how I get on with it when I get in :)

Let me know how you get on with your new H80i mate, hopefully you will have more luck this time - besides the mounting issue that we both had I thought the H80i was great!

I did ask 5UB if he thought the H80i he was sending me was new stock and he thought it would be. I hope it is?? I don't want to go through what happened with my last H80i again. That was a nightmare.

If your not getting yours until next week it makes me wonder if the H80i their sending me is really new stock?

Time will tell?

If fans mount properly on radiator they'll be a good start:) Glad I still have my sp120's:D

Anyone?

[...] Next question: You appear to be able to change the pump speed in the software. What differences does this make in performance and noise? Also, what is the pump setting without the software [...]
From what I can gather, there is only one, invariable, pump speed.

The setting in the software only changes the divider for the meter display in the software. It doesn't change the RPM of the pump at all. It's an accuracy-of-reporting setting, rather than a performance-altering setting.

I changed the stock fans to the performance SP120's. I couldn't get them to go below 1700prm using the link software, they're far too loud at that speed. I gave up and stuck some Gentle Typhoons on it, much better now.

Run the fans from your motherboard. I use a 3 pin splitter to the cpu socket and board set to voltage. It does a much better job than the awful Corsair software.
