New crysis vid

Looks great although the anti EA brigade will be on this game at some point. I think Crytek really deserve success. They kinda crept up on the big boys and caught them napping. As long as they improve on Far Cry gameplay this is going to be huge. :D Unreal engine who?

A lot of anti-EA people fail to grasp the concept that sometimes EA will just publish a game. Sometimes they have nothing at all to do with the actual development. In fact the reason crytek have gone to EA for publishing is because ubisoft screwed them over.

looks draw dropping, but let's face it, that was probably being run on a crossfired x1900xtx and a fx62 or something and it was still a bit jerky. For those of us that want to play on a widesreen res, we're going to have to cut out a lot of details or upgrade...

Are the graphics really that good or is it just a photo of a dog?

as said its on one 1900 as far as we have been told :)
Have even heared of it being run on an x800.

Best thing in the video is the iron sights I think, they look fantastic, but I know Ill never be able to afford a good enough computer to play this on full settings EVER :P.

To be fair though, by the time the game comes out systems will have got faster on average. And it actually looks AMAZING, i.e. a game worth upgrading for, it's not like some new games with 10% better graphics and 50% steeper hw requirements. At least this game will have a reason for running slowly.

Far Cry ran amazingly well given how good it looked. I wouldnt underestimate Crytek. They clearly can get more juice out of a graphics card than anyone else right now. :D

Well, i agree with that for sure. Far cry even with the newer textures etc runs 70-100fps on my system, no problems. They seem to be able to get the most out of a graphics card.

To be honest, looking at your sig and PC spec, you shouldn't really have a problem. Indeed you should be able to run Crysis at a pretty decent level too!!!

I remeber reading somewhere that the vids were running on a single core cpu with just the 1 gfx card so hopefully ill bw able to play, just need to find a cheap FX 60 somewhere :D

I hope a midrange athlon can still handle all those physics effects. So far, most CPUs have had an easy time with games, its mainly the GPUs that have been suffering.

I would have say i think it is the other way round, just my opinion though
