Rubbish. Unless you live in Bender's closet, you have plenty of room for a desktop. As if you cannot find a space for a Shuttle on the floor, under the table.

Screen + keyboard will take up similar amounts of desk space/
 
Tempted to reorder one;

x9000/t9500, 4gb, 8800m gtx sli, 2*320gb raid 0 and agn.

A huge number of problems have reportedly been ironed out since they first arrived. :)

Lol, Did you hear me correctly? My laptop sits on my dinner table, it gets moved when we have dinner, i have no room for a computer desk, thus, no room for a desktop.

This is my problem as well. Keyboards, screens and cables are not allowed :-)

Whip it out and open it up and off you go is exactly what I want. (fnarr fnarr)

I managed to get 3 years XPS warranty for free as well which helped close the deal :-)
 
dunno...the new alienware (that I saw on their website last night) looks absolutely friggin awesome.... I think it looks as nice as the Macbook pro (which lools amazing in a non-cluttered and grown up kinda way).

Not seen the new Alienware, Thought you ment the old 9750.
 
I think the new alienware looks sexy! :D

And I hate all the designs of alienware normally ;)

Plus - the alienware is 15.4" with a 8800mgtx? All the others (dell, rock, etc) are 17"?

Are they not prepared to negotiate at all ?

I did the "rock have announced their machine" angle

3 year included in their pricing

Peace of mind blah blah

They came back with some off, but I pushed, said I was considering cancelling etc...

They wouldn't budge on the unit price though hence going another way.

Tryed again.

Guy asked for the link and told me how Rock warranty has a lot of loopholes blahblahblah

Think I'll just order it with 1 yrs warranty and extend when it runs out.

Guess it depends who you get on the phone.....

Saved me ~250 notes so i was very happy
