Now that few big players in the tech world are offering, or will be very soon, I can't see it being long before the prices of 24" - 30" OLED are well below the £1k mark. Early 2017, I 'd I'd expect there to be at least 8+ models to chose from.
I can imagine the marketing bods at the various manufactures rubbing their hands together, and wondering the best way to offer this as premium quality, without trashing the LED/LCD sales.![]()
Considering the LG 65" 4K OLED went from £5000 to £3600 in the space of 4-8 weeks I can fully expect 24-34" PC monitors to come in at the £1k-£2k mark easily by year end!
Agreed. However, the drop in prices for TVs was very quick. I can't see it being that swift for the monitors...
Surely the panel isn't manufactured by Dell themselves though?
So surely we'll be seeing the same thing coming from LG, unless they've exclusively licensed it to Dell (which seems unlikely)
OLED, 4k, 120hz and adaptive sync.
That would truly be the holy grail of monitors. This is so close to that and with it being made by Dell is just icing on the cake. Can't be too long before this becomes mainstream and I for one, cannot wait.
