Now I'm ****ing ****ed. Drove all the way to my home to get my Time Machine backups. Waited in on near years eve to wait for the delivery as well.

It isn't even the original spec they offered to replace mine with, its even lower than that. And I paid £320 to max out as well. God I'm so mad.

Don't worry customer relations said we will get back to you by next week. Funny how they took the £320 for the upgrade options out my account swell. Been without a working Mac now for about 14 weeks... Im not allowed to touch this one either. 14 weeks without my main source of income yay!!!

Heads will role...

Btw, this screen is utterly bewildering in terms of reflection. Or the lack of it.

It is glossy and I cannot see my own reflection in it, not even with a black tone/image on screen. The only way i can see a reflection is to shine a light on to it, even then it looks like it has gone through a 4 stop neutral density filter. I mean I am waving at the screen whilst typing this, I can't see any reflection on screen.

It is amazing and weird at the same time, i mean this is glossy!

Just to prove i wasn't going mad I put my iPhone up against the screen and I could see myself clearly.

Arrrrgh I'm stuck between ordering the base 27" iMac and keeping my shuttle system or just going the whole hog and ordering the full-on ****** one.

Decisions decisions...

Both mine and the misses iMac are not affected by it :) (I managed to leave mine on with no power saving from 6pm NYE to 1pm NYD - no retention at all. Fans were spinning like a banshee though (it was 40deg in here though).

Initial thoughts after a few hours play - very very good :) Shame it got delivered on new years eve so I have only had a short time to get to grips with it so far, but to help with the above - the screen is fantastic.
