Anyway lets end this crazy talk, it will only go downhill :)

Its amazing how his opinion changes as soon as he jumps ship eh? He trys to say he's not a fanboy but the quotes above prove otherwise, he just does his superfanboy routine for whatever card he currently has. What once was a negative turns into a positive or something he doesn't care about. Power draw being one negative that suddenly doesnt matter..

Changed man Gerard, you not noticed over the past months?

You are not changed at all, your opinions constantly flip flop depending on what card you currently have. First of all fermi was a fail and drew too much power etc now that doesnt matter? Hardocp are "biased" yet when they do a review on nvidia surround its fine for you to link to them because its a positive review? You are aware that Kyle Bennets personal system has a pair of 480's in it? Not exactly the actions of someone that apparently is biased towards amd..

I can almost guarantee within the next 6 months (if not weeks) you'll again have swapped cards and your opinions will again flip flop like every other time you've changed card.

To be fair fermi was awful at launch and is now fine. The reason is simply pricing, there's no such thing as a bad card, just a badly priced card.

At fermi launch I poured scorn on the 470 priced higher than a 5870, now you can get them for £188 I've been full of praise.

as before i will defent raven for the 2nd time this week and the 3rd time in my ocuk existance
although once, very one sided, raven i find to me a very useful and knowledgeable member of the forum.
all these quotes from the past are getting borning now, really they are

Very true I'm one of the biggest anti Nvidia posters here but I have said the GTX470 does represent fantastic value for money at its current price point.

The only issue here is will these prices last? Given the size of 470 chip you have to wonder are these being sold as a lose leader and how much longer will Nvidia keep it there at that price.

Cheers GJ02, I wouldn't worry too much, it's just the odd few hardened AMD fanboys that like to have a go, now back OT.

Enjoy the prices as they are now, no one knows what nvidia make or lose on chips. I can see them staying low.
