New essential Android apps thread

Whats the best TV tracking app these days, for tracking watched, unwatched upcoming etc.

I'm currently using TV Show Favs, used Seriesguide, was ok. Anything else worth looking at?

I'm still with TV Show Favs. Is there something missing that you want?

Yeah, TV Show Favs does that. I only recently set up an account on Trakt. Most people I've seen that have tried both, lean towards TV Show Favs, although both usually rate highly.

TBh its the TV Show faves home screen widget that keeps me coming back to it, nothing I've tried comes close to that. I just feel the app itself is a bit lacking in the design department.

For example, this is really nice but the widget is horrid.

Series guide is by far the best second place I think....

Does anyone know how I could change or replace the absolutely, utterly useless TW lockscreen on my Note4 with something customisable? I don't really want to switch to an AOSP rom just yet or I lose a great camera :( There are a few on the play store (i.e Next lockscreen from Microsoft) but they're a bit slow in use :/

I'm thinking to replace my radio alarm clock with my phone propped up on a wireless charger. Best app to have the screen on, very dim, with the time showing, through the night? (Fine on an AMOLED screen, right?)

What's a decent email client, got outlook, yahoo, Hotmail accounts.

Currently using outlook app, but doesn't allow you to open web links, unless I'm missing something.

Hi guys,

Recently did a factory reset of my Z1 Compact and now most of my apps that give me alerts have defaulted to my message alert tone. I haven't previously had alert tones for my apps, just the notifications. I've been able to find settings for some of them in the app themselves, but there are a couple I can't; Twitter and the BBC Sport app.

I had them silent (but with notification, vibration etc.) before but I can't for the life of me remember how I did it? I'm hoping it's not something that's been done away with in Lollipop 5.1 :(

Oh... Just downloaded the Amazon Android app from the website and my 1849 coins are back.

What am I supposed to spend them on?!

Does an app exist that will send notifications to windows from my phone (texts, whatsapp etc) Which doesnt require signing in, or the notification to go to a server, so local (home network only)

Push bullet looks great, but I don't want to be giving away every tiny bit of info about me constantly, through there servers.

Okay, I've sorted out the Twitter app but the BBC one doesn't even appear to have any settings?!

Are you sure? The other BBC apps do. If all else fails, go into the App Info screen for it and disable notifications from there.

Fake and pirated apps, mostly. The Amazon App store is utterly abysmal, once I'm done with the few (legit) games I've managed to find on it I'm getting rid and going back to the regular Amazon app.

Anyone know the name of this clock widget?
