I've been after something similar for ages but I don't think it's possible without rooting. I stand to be corrected :)

This is now the ONLY thing I miss about Apple: the ability to backup everything, update and restore so easily... I'd never go back though!

To be honest, I have a handful of tablets and they all sync up nicely.

I simply have my two GMail accounts setup on them, and everything simply syncs up! When I do a full backup and reset, it just does everything for me using the gmail servers.

I know it does the apps, but I dont thik it does my videos and music... I do admit that I have got a few things switched off so maybe it does maybe it does not, but I have no use for it to do that anyway.

I noticed however, that my Tab Pro was fully backed up the last time, and since I misss my old Tab 3 7", I just bought another one last week, and when I put all the accounts back onto that, when I was setting it up for the first time, the background screen and the apps all came up that were on the 10£ Tab Pro and this tickled me a bit... Its a bit of a MiniMe in Galaxy Tabs!
 
What's the best app for viewing an exfat formatted sdcard? Connected it to my shield tablet and it comes up empty, but works when plugged into my phone. Tablet is 5.1 :confused:
 
I just installed a usb otg plugin for solid explorer and it seems to be working for pictures but not properly for videos.

ill have a mess about, thanks :)
 
What apps are people using to sync folders?

Am tempted to buy Dropsync as it seems to be one of the best in terms of acknowledging changes/ many features and what is already in a folder and has many options but is 5.99

Ideally after something that is as effective but offers more than one form of cloud support

Tried foldersync mentioned a few pages back seems okay but people complaining that when there have been upgrades/installs on other phones they require full resyncs and that could be fairly annoying...

Yet still no standard star ratings support. Something that has been requested since the dawn of time.

GoneMad still remains kind for ultimate configurability and tagging standards support.
 
Though I and many others have as that's how we playlist and order up our libraries :p

I have a custom Smart playlist set up to only play 4 star or above rated tracks in Blues genre, for example, although when I feel like listening to lower rated tracks I'll play the 3 star+ smart playlist for all genres. And so on. Can't do that kind of playback any other way.
 
Anyone managed to get Today Calendar synced with their gmail account? I keep having to add reminders I get via email into the calendar myself.

Google Camera? I can't recomend it as I was only just thinking of giving it a try but believe it does slow motion. It's on the Play store and free :D Might be worth a try.
 
I use the Google Camera. It was updated for Marshmallow. I'm not sure if your on an older version of Android then it will give you the old one.
 
Walkie Talkie app recommendations? Needs to be cross platform (iOS).

I installed Voxer today, it seems on Android you need to pay for walkie talkie mode, on iPhone it's free? :(
